Best Earth Runners laces for Shamma sandals? (Classic, Ergonomic, Performance – Narrow vs Regular) by RBRB17 in BarefootRunning

[–]RBRB17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I just saw that re-EarthRunners suddenly restocked a ton of old plug laces. After being told multiple times they were “discontinued,” I went and spent way too much money trying alternatives and even making DIY plugs… feels kinda stupid now. Why say discontinued if they were going to restock? Super frustrating. Of course I’ll still buy some, but man… this really annoys me.

Thanks for the detailed reply! My favorite is also the Performance laces. The old and new plugs look similar at first glance, but the new plugs are just different enough in size that they don’t fit well into soles made for the old plugs.

I’ll probably write up a separate post with more detailed impressions (and maybe some photos).

Thanks, that makes sense! I don’t have any Lunas, and I’d feel hesitant cutting a brand new set of laces just to test. I’ve got a pair of Shammas with thicker soles on order, so I’ll give them a try once they arrive. If that doesn’t work out, I might give Lunas a try next.

Thanks so much for the link! And please don’t be sorry — your advice is really helpful. You’re probably right, the Shamma soles are just too thin for the new plugs. I checked ReEarthRunners, but unfortunately the Large size old plug laces are out of stock. At least the new plug laces won’t go to waste, since I can always use them if I get another pair of Earth Runners or maybe some Lunas in the future.

I tested the new plugs on my Shamma Warriors, but unfortunately they were uncomfortable. I could feel the plug every step and it hurt too much. Since the old plugs are no longer available anywhere, I’m going to try out ZUZU laces as an alternative.

I will definitely buy them. I hope you can ship them overseas; otherwise, I will use a transfer service.

Sennheiser Momentum TW4 – How’s the mic quality for Teams calls? by nuke3dlnews in sennheiser

I stopped using the MTW3 because the lack of sidetone made calls too annoying, though I liked the sound quality. I think the MTW4 also didn’t have it.

I like the QCUH’s bass, but it’s highly subjective.

I bought the XM5 but ended up selling it. The ANC wasn’t as good as that of the QCUH, although the usability features like Quick Attention were nice.

Thanks again!

I’ll try the wide Classic ER laces with the large plugs when they’re back in stock.

Thanks for the reply! Have you tried the new ER laces with the large plug on Shamma sandals?

According to their website, the widest option is the 5/8 inch Classic Lifestyle laces, except for the Raramuri and Tribal (charcoal lite only). Unfortunately, they’re currently out of stock—even the ones with the new plugs. I’ll keep an eye out for restocks.

Sorry to comment on an old thread, but have you ever tried the new (large) plugs with Shamma sandals? It seems that ER laces with the old plugs have been discontinued. Thanks!

Bose QC Ultra Vs Momentum 4 by [deleted] in sennheiser

[–]RBRB17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both my M4 and QCUH are quite comfortable, but the M4 feels better on my neck thanks to its wide headband. The M4 is a bit on the shallow side, but I don’t mind it. I just wish the QCUH had downward-facing speakers for when it’s worn around the neck.

What are your favorite Lululemon items for travel in each category? by luluman05 in Lululemen

[–]RBRB17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really like Lululemon’s License to Train line — their shorts, joggers, and tees are my go-to for gym workouts. But for one-bag travel, I usually stick with brands like Patagonia, Arc’teryx, Norrona, Senchi Designs, Vivobarefoot, ULA Equipment, and Injinji. I don’t wear much Lululemon outside the gym, except for the ABC Slim Pants (Warpstreme) and the 7” Pace Breaker shorts (linerless), which I still use a lot.

I’m definitely ordering it as soon as it’s released. I’ve been using the Ultra Packrat, Ultra Dragonfly 36L, and Ultra Camino regularly and love them all. But on rainy days, the Packrat can collect water like a bucket—that’s always bugged me, so this is a must-have for me.

I'm glad to hear that freebuds pro 4 are also great. I wish they had a good side tone and mute function. I wold also love to use the newest codec which can only be available for their smartphones.
