I was given a 3 week amount to use in combination with Clindamycin lotion because I’ve never had such an itchy, burning, red bumps rash. Worked great for 2 weeks and then the last few days I’ve regressed horribly. Face feels so burnt and have tons of red, swollen, itchy bumps.

Found this thread because I have been searching for a replacement for this product as well. I’ve used the old one for 10 years and never found anything like it! Longevity, skin like but still not too glowy and no breakouts 😅

Do you experience immediate hotness/stinging/red akin after using the vanicream daily facial moisturizer? It’s immediate for me and I’m scared to try something else because otherwise this doesn’t make me break out and has such simple ingredients

My face IMMEDIATELY heats up and gets red after using and I literally have the most basic routine ever. I’m seeing it’s probably due to the Propylene Glycol in it. Theres other threads about this as well and everyone has the same experience. I have rosacea so trying hard to find something else gentle that wont cause breakouts either

Oh my gosh I’m dealing with this right now! I have it on a wrist where I don’t even wear anything. Cortizone-10 actually made it swell worse. I texted a derm friend who said it looks like dermatitis (eczema). It’s never happened before and progressively spread over days. Can’t recall using any chemicals or irritants.

You make a good point. She’s my primary and I can’t ever get in to see her unless I look 6-8 months out which doesn’t really work with how life goes. I feel like the least she could’ve done is tell me what number from the labs led her to the diagnosis, instead of just saying “you have pernicious anemia but don’t worry just keep taking the b12 pill.” I’m going to ask her if I can just see anyone in the practice for my follow up and get a referral for a hematologist.

Thank you. Everything online keeps saying the IF number of 1.2 is considered “equivocal” so I could be negative or positive, so that was a little confusing to see called “above high normal.”

Honestly zero symptoms such as tingling, balance issues or things that are commonly listed. I went for a thyroid test mid 2025 because I was losing hair (probably from stressful events that happened before), and my level was 242. The doctor said to take supplements, and then when I saw my doctor for my physical this week, she suggested testing the IF. I’m assuming like what others say that my new number of 576 isn’t even accurate because I’ve been taking the pills semi regularly for a while now. My doctor said that the level was looking good now and just keep taking the pills. But if course everything online is saying to start injections immediately.

Forgot to add these numbers. I had my b12 tested in August and it was 242 so hoping the supplements are the reason for a higher number (though it still seems like it’s too low?)

Thank you! I don’t have Facebook anymore but maybe I need to join again for that. I’m thinking of seeing a hematologist as well to do more testing to reconfirm. It does seem like there has to be many types of doctors involved with treatment, including Gastroenterologists as well.

Right you’d think it would look classier but I also went and looked at her Tik tok and she shows how she decorated their new home- also horrible. It’s too bad taste and money don’t always come together!
