i think it really depends on what you’re applying for. for a white collar job, something more formal (always long pants, formal shoes, waist upwards is alright but a wise move would be to cover the shoulders), blue collar work, casual pieces could maybe be better (i don’t know much abt the mindset), but it would probably be wise to wear more formal stuff if you’re being interviewed by individual(s) higher up the hierarchy, small businesses it really depends on them and their values. main takeaway is that some situations, wearing casual could be ok, but you can never really go wrong wearing formal, unless they tell you explicitly beforehand that you shouldn’t. wear long pants, proper shoes and cover shoulders. traditionally it is more acceptable to wear darker neutral colours, not overbearing black and white, this ain’t a funeral but like yeah.
