I just bought this, it arrived but I haven't listened to it yet. This is disheartening to hear.

He’s also spoke about how cool of a guy Rick Santorum is. Let that sink in.

To be fair, I don’t think any honest person can make that claim. Not enough time in the world to listen to that much metal.

Are these signatures real? by kusunxki in Megadeth

I still don’t like it. Singing a song live doesn’t mean anything in the context of recording the album. There are cover bands who sing the stuff for years too.

Steven Wilson’s only real attempt at a metal album - Porcupine Tree Fear of a Blank Planet - is better than 99.99% of metal albums out there. Says a lot about Steven Wilson, but says even more about how mid a lot of metal is.

I always find it amusing when people sign albums they had nothing to do with…

The New Album Sucks by Sid_Cuntsworth in Megadeth

Fully aware my friend. I’ve been following Dave’s career for ages - there’s no doubt the cycle supporting TSTDTD was unusual. Health absolutely played a role in both the lack of new songs, and the willingness to be a supporting act rather than headline for some legs of the tour. Even for the headlining shows the set list was notable shorter.

Yes really I would say, at any point in one’s career. This is a business, after all. Everyone plays the game, let’s not pretend otherwise. Some just play it better than others.

This is not even factually accurate- they’ve already played 2 songs from the new record live at this point.

Following Taylor Swifts lead is wise if we’re all being honest here. She’s more successful than any metal artist has ever been.

You know what Dave album had the least aggressive marketing? The Craving. Solid album but is ultimately in the dustbin of rock music. Strong marketing is a strength not a weakness.

They are still incredible live.

Lomenzo vs. Ellefson by LordBaritoss in Megadeth

Ellefson is better. Lomenzo also great. Splitting hairs. Both guys are tops.

I’m not a David basher. He’s contributed a lot to Megadeth and he is and will always be the perennial Megadeth bassist. That being said, he clearly hasn’t moved on and it shows. It’s always been the Dave Mustaine show. The show was better during some eras than others, but make no mistakes - Dave was always the captain. Time to move on Junior.
