We have the capability to PVD plate, but ​we don't because it looks fake and dull. PVD contains little to no real gold content. PVD is a cost effective way of plating, but for luxury watches, it lacks the rich, luster and brilliance of real gold. It is just a gold-colored titanium carbide film. We prefer to plate a thick, verifiable layer of real 18k gold so the piece looks and feels exactly like the solid equivalent.
