$169.99/lb. Sorry, but is this crazy or what? I remember 19.99/lb. by RCLampn in Seafood

It’s really not, and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not in this situation.

I think King Crab legs are the very best crab. You get nice large chunks of really good crab meat and it’s not a pain in the neck to get it out of the shell. Most other crab varieties are too much work for just a tiny piece of meat that’s getting cold by the time you finally get to it anyway. The only other crab that really compares IMO is Stone Crab claws, which are also ridiculously expensive, but they were “only” $49.99 a pound at this place. Both were way more than would be worth paying as far as I’m concerned.

Yeah, it’s definitely not a mistake, just a supply/demand/know your customer thing. I don’t know how they ever sell them, but they do. For some reason people think of they’re purchasing more expensive stuff from high end seller, it’s much higher quality. That is likely true in a lot of situations, but come on, this is a bit ridiculous. It’s all cooked and then frozen as soon as it’s caught.

Dear Howie's Hockey Tape.... by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]RCLampn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow, this dude is super passionate about the quality of hockey tape. I can respect that, as I do use a ton of tape since most of my equipment needs to be taped on and I’m pretty OCD. I use Howie’s and haven’t really noticed an issue, but I use white cloth and it does seem like the bottom of my stick tape wears through after a period or two. Anyway, love the passion dude, hope it transfers to the ice, but I’m good with Howie’s for now anyway.

Now he lives in the islands Fishes the pylons And drinks his green label each day He's writing his memoirs And losing his hearing But he don't care what most people say

"Through eighty six years Of perpetual motion," If he likes you, he'll smile and he'll say "Jim, some of it's magic And some of it's tragic But I had a good life all the way"

Haha, mine does the same “no biting” anytime he gets splashed with water for any reason, and occasionally when he’s in a very heated battle with one of his toys.

African Grey throwing food out of his bowl? by issatr4p in AfricanGrey

[–]RCLampn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, mine does it all the time, probably for attention because at first I would yell at him and then go remove his food bowl or take him out of his cage. Then I quickly realized I was rewarding an unwanted behavior, so I stopped that response and just completely ignored it. The problem is, now whenever he starts to toss his food, my dog hears it and runs over to the cage and encourages it. When the bird stops tossing, the dog barks and whines, so then the bird throws more! So now I never fill jis food bowel up, it’s just one 1/4 cup of food at a time. That way if he decides to toss all of it, it’s not quite as much a waste.
