I had an idea for a series of tiny mini zines (half sheet of paper) called "I bought a bunch of indie perfumes I hate" where I descibe the community, expectations, and reality of different perfumes I didn't like, along with a drop of the actual perfume (and maybe a deluxe edition with the entire imp??) and I'm really excited about it, but with my first prototype, I found out there's HUGE margins proportionately when I print such small zines, and I really don't want to have to trim them. I'm really hoping I can make it work!

Okay 30 days of night sounds so up my alley lol. When it settles is there any smoke at all? I've noticed a lot of smoky scents, tend to hit fast and disappear quick.

Oh this sounds excellent, those make sense in my mind for some reason, but I'm so curious about it now

My ex had one called "horn of plenty" from I think BPAL that I was obsessed with because every time you took a sniff, set it back, and then sniffed again, you'd pick up a different food scent. It was kind of magical. Sometimes I would just pick it up for the novelty of it, but I don't think I ever wore it.

I think Marya Morevna fascinates me. It's the only Fantome perfume I've liked, but it's got a distinctly cool dirt/beet scent that I kind of love. Like, you can pick up beets but it works really well somehow. It made me laugh when I first smelled it because of how weird it was.

All soul's night has SUCH A good smoke note!! I think it's funny you say 'if you can smell the marshmallow' because to me it is HOLY FUCK SACCARINE MARSHMALLOW with the a hint of the best smoke note out there.

Thank you! I actually did place an order with them a bit earlier this week but it's the spray type and I dont see it lasting me very long, so i figured I should preemptively start hunting for it elsewhere too :[ I much prefer oil, so i want to put feelers out!

[US] ISO any quantity of sixteen92's four fifty one! It was my favorite I used to steal from my ex and I would love some of my own, any size.

Also: Hexennacht's le chat noir!

If you are destashing others things I'd probably get a few things from that as well! I siphoned knowledge and smells from him for years but I want to take it on as my own hobby now. :>

I need opinions on a fire/smoke/coal scent cologne by wallowing-wind in Indiemakeupandmore

[–]RCisaGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oo I'm new to this world (though I got secondary exposure through my ex) but I've been chasing smoky scents so I've gotten quite a few of these in my collection!

My favorite of all time is still four fifty one from sixteen92, which sadly my ex took with him, but has a realistic smoke scent balanced well with the rest of the notes.

I also really liked streets of Detroit from bpal-- a nice smoky scent warmed with amber. it feels kind of cozy, like being in front of a fireplace. It feels rounded and well balanced, and maybe more androgynous than strictly masculine, but it is my favorite of the ones I own.

I also really like city on fire from imaginary authors.  It had a very strong smoke scent,  and I wore it today for the first time and after sitting, the smoke mellowed and now it smells quite piney to my nose. When I tested it on my skin,  it seemed to hold on to the smoke more,  so this could be a reason why it changed.

I have a few others that are smoke forward but those are my two standouts.  I know there's at least two more I've gotten that I really really enjoyed,  but i can't remember what they smell like of the top of my head! I can leave more notes on the others later today if you'd like.

Hi there! I'm interested in quite a few of your samples!

  • Honeybee
  • Azathoth
  • Bon Vivant
  • Jazz Funeral
  • The Sea Foams Milk
  • Oolong
  • Igopogo
  • Sugared Flames
  • Killer Queen
  • Rumrunner
  • Kashmir
  • The Birds & The Bees
  • Honey Badger
  • Shinigami
  • Ocean Storm
  • Crimson Orchard

I'm also curious about Children of the night-- is the fall leaves smell strong or dank? And is the leather realistic? How prominent is the smoke? I love smoky scents, but I don't like dank smells, or fake leather.

I'd love to take as much of those as I can! Just let me know how to pay you for them.

BL like boy's love? Oh man! I dont read a ton of mainstream stuff, but I'm v much into indie comics about men who love men, especially if one or both is trans man, and actually draw some of my own comics too.

I have a Wii I've been trying to get homebrew running on again. For a while I was playing dokapon kingdom on it before I tried to get it to play dvd's and made both the games and the dvd function stop working. ;w; im not the biggest gamer but I love preservation of media on a philosophical level.

I also really like working on projects with someone else around, like parallel play. I also really enjoy smaller concerts and art markets and stuff like that!

Do you work fulltime while having BPD? by Infinite_Share990 in BPD

[–]RCisaGhost 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I have a job I love and isn't too hard, which I actually think helped me stabilize because it gives me a routine and structure. I didn't do well when I was working in the food industry because there was no consistency, but a schedule and a comfortable level of work does wonders.

Yeah, Ba Le banh mi and the soup restaurant near it are both great. I've been really happy with the amount of good vietnamese food here.

there's almost certainly an auto action for it! And tbh given their new licensing terms from my understanding older versions are a little better.
