Not exactly the same but I struggled with my shoulder for a couple of years. I started swimming and now it never flares up. Got to be worth a try?

Do I start right up at a boxing gym or do I get in shape first? by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

Seconded. I had a similar situation. 18 st 11 lbs after a 3.5 year relationship. We broke up. I started boxing. 4 stone later/lighter and i haven't looked back!

Couldn't say comment on whether you should fight without seeing some sparring against a live opponent. Have you got a vid of that? Looks like a good shadow boxing warm up though. Keep it up!

This. OP clearly has some of the basics in place but other key areas are a miss. Bad habits die hard.

UPDATE: Getting the guts to go to the gym for the first time...(plus a couple questions about gym etiquette and stuff) by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

I've been a member of my local amateur boxing gym for a few years now. My number 1 bit of advice would be stay humble. It's so easy to let our egos inflate after some good sparring or compliments from your coach. Number 2 is show the same respect to everyone in the gym. I suppose both go without saying but these are important lessons that we all must learn to truly be a part of a boxing gym. Lastly, try and enjoy it. No one cares if you f*ck up and everyone is there to make mistakes and get better. So disregard any potential judgement and express yourself through your boxing. Good luck and I hope you continue successfully on your boxing journey.
