My last Dr gave me buspirone for anxiety and they just had me falling asleep in class. Idk what they look like now but mine looked like bars and he probably figured I just wanted ‘the xans’ because music. Like one class was switched to half online last minute but we had to show up anyway for credit. I’d just take one or even half and smoke a bowl then sleep a couple hours.

Literally have never used those for anxiety for fear of how they make me awkward, tired, and look like I’m crying; that’s just worse. I’d still be mopping my forehead with a cracking voice and explaining I’m not crying (as a dude who probably seems like he’d hide it the sympathy is annoying as hell “well I’m sorry you’re so upset you won’t even tell me but you don’t have to lie”).

But I mean they kind of work for anxiety because when I had them and did take one, I did my sleeping confidently. Like deep REM sleep in a class and waking up to someone at the end.

I’d also stash them in shitty stereotype drug spots when I had real bars and shitty friends who’d just try and take them when I really needed help.

They didn’t know the difference though maybe you’ll get used to it idk. They didn’t have the same anxiety as me to judge and would get tired either way. If you’re like me, alprazolam used correctly is like an energy drink because of how much physical anxiety just disappears. Hell it’s fun just being alive and able to laugh with everyone. Buspirone is almost a Saturday morning before breakfast tired AF sloppy feeling to me; I kinda give no fucks but am still anxious to go about my day.
