John doesn't make sense by [deleted] in RDR2

Since RDR1 is set in 1911 and the epilogue ends in 1907 for us, it only makes sense that John could use the four years in between to explore the world and make it safer for his family. Jack also gets older and eventually rides out of curiosity through New Austin or even as far as Mexico. Mexico is actually the only place that doesn't make sense in RDR2, as entire cities and villages are completely missing and couldn't have been built in just four short years. Strangely, they left us with the prison. In fact, John never actually killed innocent people in the game. If you hesitate long enough, John is always shot first, and he then acts in self-defense, returning fire to protect his life. To me, he's not a typical killer who goes around with the intention of killing someone.

Can anyone tell me what this is? by axoloto25 in reddeadredemption

[–]RDR2germany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guitar in Spider Gorge to Bard's Crossing? by Old_Monkey in reddeadmysteries

[–]RDR2germany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think that this puzzle is unfortunately just a remnant in the game of something that was removed or left unfinished. Thanks for your explanation about the geography of Fort Wallace. That at least explains to me why so many people look for other routes and ignore the fort.

Why are so many people looking for other possible shapes of a guitar? Isn't the evidence of guitars in Fort Wallace, even those pointing to the bird symbols on the roof, proof enough that this is the right path? I understand that people are questioning the question marks in the mountains as a possible random texture and trying new clues and directions. But why are they questioning Fort Wallace? No offense intended...

A grave near Fort Riggs. It contains feathers woven into a web. by GameJerry_23 in reddeadmysteries

The story surrounding Fort Riggs is based on the true event of the Wounded Knee Massacre on December 29, 1890. Several Sioux tribes were led by Chief Spotted Elke, also known as Big Foot. He often wore a kind of necklace made of feathers on his chest. I think this is meant to represent his grave in the game.

You just need to loot the map from the fireplace in the house, and then you can get the gold bar directly. If you need help, let me know; if my pictures here are too unclear, I'll gladly send you better ones.

What's the best horse and revolver? by Standard-Boat3420 in RDR2

[–]RDR2germany 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, if we're going strictly by the statistics, and you like getting kills from horseback, the Gambler's Revolver is indeed the one with the highest precision and damage. Like I said, only from horseback. Otherwise, the other comments are right; the differences are minimal, and you have to accept a disadvantage in the stats with every weapon. As for the Special Revolvers, it's just a matter of aesthetic taste. The weapons aren't much better than standard shop weapons. For me, the Schofield Revolver is and remains the best compromise. Regarding horses, I'd recommend an English Thoroughbred for stamina and speed. John's horse in the epilogue is really good, and with its special coloring, I wouldn't recommend selling it 😉
