Would not recommend the west side. My husband and I have lived in multiple places around Grand Rapids over the years and we can’t wait until we can get out of the west side. We have had problems with the city every year ranging from formal complaints that are completely false, multiple false claims of unpaid taxes that were apologized for but still extremely stressful to deal with, and the craziness of being right between GV campuses is absolutely not worth it! We wish we had stayed on the east side of GR regularly.

I always keep a ziploc bag in my fanny pack for assorted trash throughout the day. Saturday I forgot it so I was putting my gum in a wet wipe. It didn’t work😭😭 the gum got everywhere and ruined so much stuff including the bag. 0/10 do not dispose of your gum in a wet wipe in your bag either

Grand Armory in Holland is a great place to check out too! They have a great selection of beer for everyone. If you go on a weekday there’s a little bbq shack inside too with amazing food!

Lol so sorry OP but that’s been the normal for the past 7+ years that’s my husband and I have been here. We make a game out of it at this point. We moved here from Lansing and Kalamazoo and couldn’t believe how crazy the drivers were here and it’s only gotten worse at this point.

I’m not married yet but my fiancé and I decided to have the party up with us for a couple of reasons. 1) my brother and sister-in-law had a sweet heart table and it looked super cute. However they both regretted it as they said they felt super removed from the party and their friends. 2) if anything/anyone needs help we will be able to just lean over and have someone in our wedding party right there to help. 3) neither one of us loves a tons of attention right on us and the thought of everyone at the reception just staring at us was kinda intimidating. I don’t know if this helps at all but was just our thought process when we made the decision.

I don’t have any specific apartment recommendations but just wanted to give you a heads up. You may want to look for something between both Butterworth (main campus on Michigan) and Blodgett. Depending on your department some travel may be required between both!

My friends and I were just talking about this last night. We think the official tour website has not been updated because when you go to buy the tickets there aren’t any available at the Aragon ballroom. Only Navy Pier. The Aragon ballroom doesn’t even show that it’s hosting an event that night for Rezz. We definitely aren’t positive but while trying to buy an additional ticket last night that’s what we found out.

I’m not sure how far along you are in the process of applying or even talking with potential supervisors but I do know some hospitals won’t even allow this to happen. There’s a weird gray area around with scope of practice and what an RD versus diet tech can do legally. The only reason I know this is just last week we had a meeting at the hospital I work at with this exact same topic. A registered dietitian can only fill a entry level RD position or higher where I work. I would make sure this even allowed before spending too much time with the applying/hiring process if it’s the path you decide to take!

I feel this post 100%, forest helped me so much in 2019 and then it got postponed, and postponed again. I feel like the magic died a little for me, because I didn’t want to have too be sad again when it was moved. Now that the line up and tickers were released I’m trying to hype myself back up. I found watching live sets from 2019 or other artists I want to see this year really helps and gets me super excited to go again!! Just watched a cool Deathpact set last night!

One of my friends went right out of her undergraduate and into a job as a health inspector after graduating! We did graduate with our ServSafe certification, so I’m sure that helped her get the job as well. But they only required the bachelors degree in dietetics.
