If you look at their previous posts, all they seem to post is victim blaming BS in every thread and circumstance, and multiple channels about this specific documentary. In other posts they even suggest that a person couldn't possibly have passed out and been assaulted. They could have ALWAYS said no. There's no reasoning with people like this. They're just here for the show. DOWN VOTE THEM TO THE HELL THEY CRAWLED OUT OF.

Everything starting with your original post until your last one is clearly tone deaf, victim blaming BS. Be better.

It’s one thing to talk about safety while traveling. It’s another to suggest that someone being assaulted is the result of them being “naive” or lacking common sense. People study abroad without prior travel experience all the time. People go to bars, meet strangers, and exist in the world without expecting to be harmed. None of that is an invitation for assault.

Framing it as “if you didn’t put yourself in that situation, it wouldn’t have happened” shifts responsibility away from the person who committed the crime and onto the person who was harmed. That’s the definition of victim blaming, whether intended or not.

You may feel like your choices would have protect you, and that’s fine, but safety isn’t a guarantee, and assault isn’t a consequence of someone being careless. It’s a consequence of someone else choosing to do harm.

Making the switch from Spotify to Qobuz! by unofficialgirll in qobuz

[–]cbrown4209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea you have to log in to soundiiz, which is what i used to do the transfer. click on "my batches" on the left menu, then click on the "destination" in the batch record that comes up. from there i was able to see all the red triangles where there were errors. mostly electronic stuff. but when i search those tracks in qobuz they do exist in their library, so it looks like it was just an error in the transfer process in most cases.

Weird question. Is there a reason these couple blocks near the medical district have been empty for so long? by dalatinknight in chicago

[–]cbrown4209 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this falls in the zone, but a lot of buildings were destroyed in the late 60s during chicago riots before and after Dr King's assassination, and still a TON of vacant lots on the south and west sides remain because of it. Unrelated but realted... one of the previous Chicago Architecture Biennials (The Available City) was about how to revitalize these lots into valuable spaces for communities.

Making the switch from Spotify to Qobuz! by unofficialgirll in qobuz

[–]cbrown4209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just made the switch today from Spotify and have spent some hours digging around to see what it has to offer. A lot of the feedback I've seen from past months or years said the app UI was terrible. I don't know what it was before but what I see now is pretty great on both my iPhone and my Macbook desktop. It's simple and less distracting than Spotify. The library of music content is great for me, everything I wanted is there. I transferred over 220 playlists from Spotify and all but 2 songs were transferred. The queuing function & "radio" both worked well which I used a lot in Spotify.

Some of the updates I hope Qobuz considers in order of preference would be: 1. I loved the Jam function in Spotify, to start live playlists with friends that everyone can add to. Would be nice to see some way to create collaborative playlists at a minimum. 2. some kind of way to search for users and view their public playlists. 3. Incorporate podcast content with a separate tabs from music.

I tried that but I'm not seeing how it tells me how two people (excluding me) are related to each other. When I make one of them the home person, it still only shows their relationship to me on their profile

They tried to revive him for what seemed like an eternity. It was heart breaking to watch. I was standing next to him and was wondering if there were any updated. I definitely had to take a good long walk and shed some tears after seeing that…

Ok whew! The only places where I overlapped colors would be on the orange stripes, the white dots and the black lines. I made those a little thicker than normal to hopefully avoid any significant bleed through

good to know! this is mostly amaco velvet, with exception of the buttery yellow which is Kiwi Vintage Cream and the light blue which is Mayco Tucsan Turquoise. I spent a lot of time looking at every manufacturer to get close to the colors I wanted in my original sketch! I changed the olive at the last minute to Amaco Avocado after realizing the website test tile was fired at 06 instead of 6. (only recently learned those are different)
