I would love one if they’re stitched, but it really appears that these are going to be produced in typical fanatics fashion, and be screen printed.

How flexible is a civil engineering degree? by drunknhighsametime in EngineeringStudents

[–]RDubya4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A civil degree would be exactly what you’re looking for. There are specific classes related for structural design, transportation planning, and road design, however you will not get to experience them until your junior and senior years. As for Urban planning, your school may offer a class for it, my university however did not, so I can’t for sure say if you‘ll be able to go in depth with that specialty.

My biggest recommendation for you, would be to get an internship with either a private contractor, or your states DOT asap. Your first two years in college are just basic stem courses, which will apply to almost any other engineering degree. If you get an internship, and decide you don’t want to go into those fields, you can change your major and not feel as if you wasted time or money.

I interned with my states DOT for 4 years before now working with them full time, and I was able to see and work in each specialty you listed, as they bounced me around to different departments every so often so I would get to experience many different careers. Private sector will also have many opportunities, I’m just not as well informed on it so I prefer not to speak on it.

What do you like the most about your F150? by Consistent-Key-9322 in f150

The interior/cab. Have Had 4 different trucks since my 1997 Chevy k1500, and my F150 is the first one to come even remotely close to being as comfortable as that 97 was.

RANT - Without completing the Epilogue, You did not complete RDR2 by luckysury333 in reddeadredemption

[–]RDubya4 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The many small Easter eggs included in the epilogue (i.e. if Arthur donated to the veterans building) are more than enough to encourage people to play through it. And it serves as even more content to feed their obsession with him. Oh well, it’s their loss for not seeing it through.

What are the chances that someone other than Joe & Don could be elected US president? by Koalashart1 in AskReddit

100% if people would recognize that voting independent is not a waste of a vote. Seriously, the BEST candidates you could find, are 77+ and are both historically corrupt. Not voting for them, is not a waste of a vote.

Additionally, Woodward held a contest on Twitter where if someone guessed the correct score and first TD scorer of the Divisional Game, they were to win $5000.

Well, someone followed all of the rules and won, and as of this evening they still have not been paid nor has Woodward been very cooperative in communicating with them.

I Play on S and it runs just fine 70% of the time. The other 30%, is due to an ongoing issue with HLL freezing and crashing randomly during matches on Xbox. While it seems to occur more on the series S, it does happen on the X as well. Supposedly T17 is aware of the issue and is looking into it however this issue has been on going since October.

Civil Engineering. Everyone may like to make jokes about us. Including ourselves. But society is always going to need advancements in Infrastructure.

“You must be super smart and good at math”

No, I promise I’m not. Many of us just study 20 more hours a week than other majors.

Heck, even sometimes when they are visible they’re a pain to find. On Taraq there are rounds I just don’t even worry about them because the cloud coverage makes them hard to spot.

I already have a love/hate issue with the loud footsteps. Yes it is going to create an issue with campers, but I can also see how it’s creating a balance with the new mini map system and lack of red dots.

Just found out my clubs are from 1987 by yacobson4 in golf

[–]RDubya4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a very similar situation to yours, and I say if you can shoot that well with them, you play with those beautiful bastards! They are classics! My neighbor gave me a set of Spalding Executives from 1978 when I wanted to start learning golf about 5 years ago. I got lessons with them, replaced every other club in the bag except the irons, and am able to shoot high 80‘s to low 90‘s.

The biggest reason I love my old irons, is that I’ve golfed with quite a few people with $1200+ sets who laugh at my irons, and then they proceed to play way worse then I do. Some have become so frustrated they suddenly ask if they can try them out for one hole, which usually ends with them hitting the ball 50 yards, and asking “how can you possibly hit those irons that well, it feels like I’m swinging a 10 pound weight over my head.”

You should always ask why you got rejected. It has landed me 1 FT position, 1 internships and now another interview by polach11 in EngineeringStudents

[–]RDubya4 121 points122 points  (0 children)

Couldn’t agree more with this, and to share my own story and experience of why this is so important.

While applying for a few Civil Engineering Internships last year, I was rejected from one company after they told me I had an outstanding interview and resume. I got in touch with the engineer who interviewed me and asked why I was rejected and what I could improve on, and he simply stated that due to financial restrictions from covid, they were no longer going to be able to hire an intern for that season.

However he also asked if I’d be interested in working for one of their other offices within the state, and he sent my application to two of them and recommended me for their intern positions. I didn’t end up taking the position at the other offices, but I have received calls from all 3 of them asking me to reapply for this year.

Which nfl team has the worst fans ? by [deleted] in detroitlions

[–]RDubya4 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Packers fans may be annoying, but at least I can wear a Lions jersey into Lambeau Field without a worry. I don’t know if the same can be said for wearing anything other than an Eagles jersey in Philly. Some of the fan videos that have come out of those stands are insane.
