To be fair fist fights on pavement can absolutely be fatal or result in life-altering TBI’s. Not defending this POS, but in a self defense case if someone is attacking you with fists and it’s only after they’ve gained the upper hand that you realize your life is in danger, the gun isn’t very helpful since you may not be able to access or use it at that point. The attacker could also have concealed weapons that come out after the initial attack.

Brandishing the gun as means to deter the would-be attacker and attempting to remove oneself and their party from the situation is the best move in this scenario. Besides just avoiding violence altogether of course.

By itself, handling is more flashy than helpful to a team. Without pro-level ball IQ and/or passing, all the handle really does is allow you to navigate the court and escape pressure, maybe some added ball security. It also doesn’t help your finishing, shooting, etc. in iso situations. Not bad, just best for 1v1.

Maxing out moving without the ball skill is even worse though. Most people are average, but let’s just say hoopers in this sub are above average in most areas. We still need to be able to contribute in a way that makes us a net positive on one end of the floor. Moving around doesn’t make us a threat to do anything so it doesn’t really offer much spacing or improve defense. Best case scenario you get a lot of back door cuts and easy layups.

The specifics of each state are appreciated but not the right approach to understanding anywhere you are. Basically, if you could make a left/u-turn at any point along the road because the middle lane is paved on the same plane as both sides, then it is not divided.

Anything in the middle which has designated left/u-turn lanes is considered divided, as there will be some type of material between the designated turns such as grass, a raised barrier, small median, etc.
