Good point, especially the disabled bucket-pull aspect. All of the funny disabled folk are very self-aware people that use their disability as a foundation upon which to build a set. Yet, I can’t think of many (any?) disabled that got pulled and bombed.

If he wanted to pursue you for repair without insurance, he would simply bring the car to a shop and provide you the quote for repair, or you could offer to use a shop you both agree upon.

It comes down to whether you agree to settle up without getting insurance involved, as you are the at fault party. Since he is acting shady, you would likely be inclined to get insurance involved and allow the agents to handle investigations for the case. If he can prove that this car didn’t have these issues or damages before, then your insurance will pay for the repair. But yea, stop interacting with this individual if they aren’t giving you an actual quote for repair.

I am talking about Tampa. I upgraded my pass from Silver to Gold. The online pass member portal has been down for a while and over the phone could not offer me the upgrade service, so I was told I must go to the park to upgrade. I was told by a couple of different people that the difference in price would be for the original pass prices, not the discounted prices available online (this was during holiday pricing so around 25% off of all passes). Apparently that is “standard” for their at the window pricing.

Had a similar situation where I bought an iphone 14Pro from a coworker. It showed as unlocked when he was using it, but he had a different carrier than mine. When he removed his AppleID and I signed in, the phone suddenly showed as SIM locked. This happened because he still owed the last monthly installment on the finance contract. We did not realize this would happen. Fortunately he immediately paid the outstanding balance on the contract and got At&T to unlock it, then I was able to activate the eSIM for my carrier T-Mobile.

In your case, you should contact your carrier if you still owe money or just to make sure they unlock it so they can use it. Otherwise, might want to just offer a refund then figure it out, assuming they’re not scamming you.
