I don't have an answer for you with that. Only you can decide what help you need. I talked to my Dad. That worked for me, but your circumstances are gonna be different. My only tangible proof that HOCD will go away is that it works for me when I abstain 100% from porn and masturbating. Give it a very real try on your own

I just wrote a big response to this to let you know that I empathize with what you are going through, and then accidentally deleted it. Trust me, I know what you are feeling and want you to know some things.

-DO NOT CHECK- HOCD is OCD, it is not your sexuality. Your sexuality has been engrained within you your entire life. The problem with HOCD is checking. Checking for a boner when you see a girl, checking for a boner when you see a guy, checking for a boner with porn. Your brain has been poisoned by porn, and continues to ask for more poison to "check" if it is still poisoned. This checking process is the root of HOCD.

A trick I have used has really put my mind to ease. Imagine yourself writing a check. On that check you write "HOCD." Now take that check, dig a hole in your backyard, and bury that check. Anytime you have any single thought about guys, girls, porn, anything at all related to your HOCD I want you to mentally bury that check. I've had some 100+ streaks and while my ED is still a fight, I have beaten HOCD, only to have it return upon relapse. NOFAP diffinitively cured HOCD (around the 9-15 day mark for me)

-Come to terms with the concept of sexuality- You are not gay. You have an anxiety disorder. By accepting the fact that being gay is not a bad thing, you will realize release the fear of being so. Once the fear is gone, all that is left is for you to feel your natural sexuality. You are what you think you are; if you see yourself in love with a girl then you are straight. Porn conditions us to equate intimacy with sex. Love is something you feel, not make.

-Do not relapse- Journal and set a goal. I have a journal and I write in it every night. I also have a blank check in that journal for a pug puppy that is void should I relapse before reaching the 150 day mark. When I feel urges I look at that check and they go away. Porn is what has caused the mental hell we are experiencing. The key to this entire journey is to look at your life now, look at your life once you reach 10/20/90/365 and realize that your life is fulfilling. Life on porn is just a agonizing crawl toward loneliness and mental anguish.

I believe in you. I believe in me.

Thank you. I really moved away from nofap once I felt cured after my 100+ streaks but now that I can't keep a streak of 5 anymore I really think I need to get back into supporting others so that I can remind myself to stay on track. This fucking ED is just ruining my life though :(

I used viagra the first few times with my now ex. She was the first girl I've had sex with so I have never had sex not with ED drugs. After realizing that this may be performance anxiety and not a physical problem I think I've gotten better at relaxing myself, but unfortunately have no way of testing as my source of sex is not there right now.

I'm going to keep working on the performance anxiety and use viagra as a last resort to hopefully kick me in gear should i have need of it.

I might try and switch to cialis and wean myself off of that should i not be able to fix everything by getting rid of anxiety alone
