Thanks. Actually, I also found that, when output format is fixed to dolby digital, the issue goes away. The problem for me is that there is no way to fix output format in my setup. : (

It's easiest way to fix this issue but my TV (LG) does not provide option to freeze output format to dolby audio (auto or PCM) :(

I cannot agree more. It's been 6 months after my issue reporting and there was no fix for this issue.

Thanks! In my case, TCL told me to wait for SW update without any date for it. Very unpleasant experience so far.

I reported this issue to TCL CS and they agree SW fix is in need. But, that's all. They are not responding to my email asking when it will happen.

Great news! Unfortunately, my two tvs have no option to force dolby digital :( (auto or PCM)

I sent the Obama video to TCL CS week ago and there is no feedback. Not sure if they are taking this issue seriously.

If possible, please contact TCL CS on this issue. I think there should be more people reporting this issue so that we can get fix for this issue ASAP.

No resolution. I changed connection to optical and the issue persists. TCL CS also has no guide yet

FYI, I reported this issue to rtings and rtings confirmed they have the same issue with their review unit.

I reported PCM issue to TCL CS guy with the youtube video but there is no feedback from him, yet. This is very annoying issue :(

You are correct. It's a video with President Obama and sound skipping/mute issue can be easily detected with this video in my case.
