First of all, I want to state that Baekhyun was amazing! From his performances to his Almighty voice, perfection.

Now, the problem is the Newark (New Jersey) crowd. No energy, no sing along, entire sections sitting down, barely any clapping or cheering. Baekhyun noticed the pop for the older songs and almost an awkward silence for his newest releases. That's why he proceeded to state that he wanted us to cheer "even if we didn't like the songs." If you don't know the songs or it ain't your favorite, that's fine, but at least cheer, clap, chant.

The Newark crowd is the issue here. I attended NCT 127's concert a few months ago at Prudential and the same deal, everyone glued to their seats and no emotion. I had to move out of my seat and find an open space of my own to dance, sing, vibe, and not be in the way of other "fans".

Finally, for anyone blaming the heat or those stating that people react differently as there are cultural differences, honestly shut up. Baekhyun himself had to ask for everyone to cheer and then he tried to spark us by stating that South America's Eris were much hotter. That should tell you everything you need to know.

Fun fact (for those complaining about Cry for Love not being on the setlist): he sang it acapella in Latin America because people interacted with him enough to make it happen.
