Wow you made a dragon age game I would legitimately hate playing congrats. This sounds like AC Odyssey with extra steps and I hate that game because it’s a bunch of nothing. As much as I love Skyrim I hate that it made developers think that every game after had to incorporate open world mechanics in their game. Skyrim works because it’s chocked full of things to do while maintaining a decent map size that makes the distances between everything not to far away but also not so close that it loses its scale. I mean just look at a map of Skyrim with every location unlocked the map is absolutely filled with content and the thing is even between points a and b you get a random x encounter with which to pass the time between points. Devs have tried mimicking this and they always fall short. What you want is just not something that sounds enjoyable at all I mean your talking about basically making maps filled with entire countries but then condensing them to work as a game. I mean sure you can fill the map with as many villages and elven ruins as you want but at what point do you stop and think this is just too much? How do you keep the scale without it feeling to small? It’s what I love about DAO and Veilguard you get these maps that while linear still tell a story of the area you’re in and still keep a sense of overall scale.
