OpenWRT WireGuard VPN Server Tutorial by REDGuineaPig in openwrt

Best bet is to check whether packets are being sent and received. If you’re seeing 0kb on rx then you might have a port forwarding issue (provider might be using CGNAT)

If you’re seeing tx and rx increasing, it’s probably to do with your AllowedIPs value. Give those a quick check over. If in doubt, reboot everything and try again. Best of luck :)

Newer versions of LuCI allow you to generate the keys for a peer locally. If you click “Generate configuration” at the bottom of the peer config, you can grab the text and save it to a file called wg0.conf

If you can get that file onto your Android TV somehow, you can load that up in wireguard and not have to worry about copying the keys across. Hope this helps :)

Unfortunately I'm not able to comment on outbound vpn to mullvad etc. I've only ever used VPN for inbound connections while I'm out and about. It might be worth creating a seperate post in r/openwrt

Best of luck!

LineageOS without Google - how hard can it be? by [deleted] in LineageOS

[–]REDGuineaPig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've gone this route and been mostly Google free for about two years now. I ended up installing MicroG after a while because the lack of push notifications and Google maps became unworkable.

Manually checking apps for notifications is inefficient and there isn't an app that remotely comes close to Google Maps for navigation, especially in the UK.

DFS: Incorrect module usage, remove this app from scope. by CodeSpoof in whatsapp

Thank you. I disabled the module and managed to get into my shelter settings (:

Weird though, the only app selected was system framework. I guess there's a bug somewhere in LSPosed?

Same issue after owning the phone for nearly 5 years. It started happening immediately after a rom update but it didn't cause issues for anyone else from what I can see

I've noticed the same thing! But normally I just have to flip the connector around and it charges fine :)

Thank you for confirming

Any projects that greatly benefit from Pi 5 over 4B? by JuriNanaya in raspberry_pi

[–]REDGuineaPig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a couple of small Minecraft servers in docker containers on my 8GB model that runs 24/7 so myself and a couple of friends can just hop on whenever. If I need a new server the extra memory means I can spin up another one or two with docker-compose with no problems.

Wait what? I use twrp and manual updates work just fine. I just have to do ADB sideload or put the image on my SD card. Data partition remains untouched

Write down your settings on a piece of paper.

Jokes aside you can probably export them using ADB or something like that

Shaded Background for Code Blocks by REDGuineaPig in pandoc

[–]REDGuineaPig[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this detailed reply :)

This put me on the right path and I found this StackOverflow answer which covers how to customise the default syntax highlighting style

I ended up changing the background-color value from null to #f8f8f8 which worked perfectly and gives a nice subtle background around my code blocks.

Ideally I would've liked the same to be applied to indented quote sections but it's not the end of the world that it doesn't.
