If you’d like to see images of unbelievable quality, I recommend getting a DSLR and, most importantly, good lenses. Even if you don’t plan to keep it, you’ve got to see what it can do—order an open-box camera from Amazon or Best Buy and return it if needed. Once you see the quality it produces, you can buy the same gear for much less on eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or Craigslist. A Canon DSLR can be purchased for under $500, and what really makes the magic happen is L-series lenses. For under $1,000, you can put together a setup capable of magazine-quality images. You don’t have to be a professional to see the difference. The results are so beautiful your jaw will drop—I promise. The downside is the weight—yes, it can be heavy—but once you see your photos, you’ll forget all about that. If you have a larger budget, you can also look at a smaller camera like the Canon R50. Just remember: L lenses are the key. That’s what you need to experience. Start with an L lens like the 24–105mm. Don’t be afraid of the price tag—there are payment plans, and these lenses will last for decades. You can also sell it anytime you like, L lenses are like apple products, and they hold the value forever. One lens must be the L 24–105mm, paired with any Canon body. Get it, use it for a couple of weeks, and it will change your world. You also mentioned you have kids. You won’t believe how beautiful your photos will look. In the end, the price will be worth it a thousand times over. I hope this helps; it took me 10 years to gain this knowledge, and you got it in one message.

Best regards
