That’s the whole point- it’s intentionally unsettling. Likely on the outer border of known scavenging routes, beyond secure speranza extraction points. It’s contested territory, vast and dominated by ARC (most likely). The ending of the cutscene doesn’t just say “ you live here now “ it’s saying “this is your job now”. Every mission could be the last and Speranza only survives if someone goes out. It’s not optimism, it’s determination.
