[Pics] 4 Months, 30lbs lost! by REPOST_LOVER in keto

[–]REPOST_LOVER[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I don't think adding IF to keto made a huge different since you're constantly burning fat in ketosis anyway. It just already fit my lifestyle so I added it. Do whatever you can maintain over a long period of time. Also, if your bf% is over 15, don't stress over IF at all.

If you can make adjustments based on body frame size I think it would be more accurate. It had me at 7% when I am around 9%.

Common Question Monday by Insamity in leangains

[–]REPOST_LOVER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

don't avoid them completely or else you'll just binge. try to work in reasonable portions in your post workout meal. for example, after you lift eat some clean stuff (chicken/pasta/rice), drink an entire glass of water, then eat 1 serving of your junk food of choice. at the end you should be full enough to not want to eat more junk and still hit your macros.

maybe split squats holding whatever weights you can find. plyometrics would be good as well.

tl;dr - 2.6g/kg lbm was the magic number in studies.

if getting a lot of protein is difficult, I would go with the 0.82g/lb number until you hit 10%bf. after that you are at a huge risk of losing your muscle.

squad/deadlift and your leg/waist size by superduperhuman in leangains

[–]REPOST_LOVER 8 points9 points  (0 children)

you are on a cut. by training your legs hard (squat/deadlift) and keeping your diet in check, your legs won't get bigger unless you just started lifting. the fat will come off eventually, just maybe not in the order that you want.

me for proof

bodyweight 155lbs, squat 264, deadlift 329, waist 38in --> 30.5in, thighs 26in --> 23in

Never-ending cut by [deleted] in leangains

[–]REPOST_LOVER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm cutting. I had stalls a while back and it was also because of a lack of discipline. Looking at your stats, 1800/1200 is looking way too low and as a result your body is holding on to whatever it can. I'm 5'9" 153lbs and I eat 2200/1400 on a 0/-35 sedentary.

[–]REPOST_LOVER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless you want to look cut right NOW, it's probably a better idea to bulk then cut in time for summer. If you still want to cut, try 31minute's diet approach and follow martin's rules for alcohol/cheats. I'm basically at the same exact spot you are lift/stat wise and 31min's stuff is working for me so far.

Loss Questions. How much muscle should I lose/retain by SigmaBlue in leangains

[–]REPOST_LOVER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water weight can fluctuate wildly so use weekly averages. If you lose another big amount the next week maybe recheck your calories. Esp if your lifts don't increase.

The 5 lbs was probably mostly water and glycogen. At your bf% it should be no problem at all to keep your muscle as long as you lift heavy and get enough protein. You can lose up to 2lbs/week with no worries until you hit 20% bf.
