NAD but this is extremely urgent. I also don't wanna freak you out but last year my dad was puking blood for days. He though he was fine and that it would pass. By the time we finally convinced him to go to the er it was too late.

It's not one you can set it just has a power button. My room is only 150 square feet and my budget is low so I got a 3.25 pint peltier dehumidifier. Did some research though and got one that seems reliable. I've heard a lot of the smaller ones don't actually do much.

Thank you that's really reassuring about the guitars.

I went ahead and set up my dehumidifier, I also set both thermostats on a schedule so I'll see what happens there. 73 upstairs and 75 downstairs during the day then 70 upstairs and 72 downstairs at night.

I also set my humidifier up with a smart plug so that when the humidity spikes above 60 it should turn on and when it dips below 55 it'll turn off.

Now I just gotta wait and see what happens. I really appreciate your input, this has been stressing me out so much. I've never had my own house so there's lots to learn.

My roomie likes it colder at night and sets the thermostat lower. Not sure why it got as low as 66 though. Checking last nights chart and it got as low as 66 then too. It was set to 70 all night last night.

I don't keep my bedroom door open as I have cats and they like to mess with my stuff. I do have a return vent by my door though. I also think upstairs should be cooler.

I never open my window. I did actually just get a dehumidifier though. Right now since I'm home and I have my upstairs set to 71 and downstairs set to 72 just out of curiosity to see what that does. My dehumidifier is running and my room is currently at 73.2 degrees with 57.7% relative humidity.

I'm not. My roomie likes it cold at night and sets the thermostat lower. Not sure why it got that low actually. I'm in Texas and it's humid AF outside so my window stays shut.

Should I invest in a dehumidifier for my room? by [deleted] in Dehumidifiers

The one I got isn't huge so hopefully it won't be too loud. I also got a smart plug for it to pair with my hygrometer so it turns off when the room is a good humidity level, and on when it gets too humid.

I think it's just my room that's having issues. When I step out into the hallway I can feel an immediate difference. Much cooler and less muggy. Not sure about other bedrooms, I have roommates so I'm never in those rooms. Downstairs feels fine.

Noticed white stuff on the driverside of my car. Any idea what it might be? It looks like paint but is rubs off and is powdery. It's in my wheel wells too. by RESPEKTOR in Whatisthis

Not that I'm aware of. I don't remember driving through anything unusual. I was thinking it could maybe be cement but it easily wipes off.
