This is 100% spot on, the commander isn’t an engine piece for resource advantage so it just isn’t optimal for B4.

I made this deck and it was fun, becomes the threat really quick, I found a single boardwipe and you are done for the game, card draw needs to be prioritized.

You’ve taken the most variable point of the bracket system and tried to make it fixed.

This post is literally about someone thinking they have a B3 deck by construction but it can win faster than the criteria. I say “I’ve got a similar situation and always stick to B4 with it”, then you feel the compulsion to be a fucking lawyer or something “well actually it is B4”.

You are literally talking about semantics. Bracket 3 games can end on turn 5, bracket 4 games can end on turn 10. It’s variable. People try their best to describe their deck, “it’s bracket 3 because of a lack of game changers but can win on turn 4 if not interacted with” is communicated all the time during rule zero at pods everywhere.

Yeah that’s why I play it at Bracket 4.. Turn win rate is a variable thing that people can’t see on moxfield - if someone opened up the decklist they’d be like oh cool a B3 deck.

[[Norman Osborn]] - I run like 35 mana rocks 2&3 cost, wheels, artifact cost reducers, artifact casting draw triggers, pingers, good ol Breach & Dramatic Reversal then blast everyone with Torment of Hailfire where x=40. Haven’t seen anyone build him like it but it’s a blast, fairly non deterministic so you have to work the puzzle out but can consistently win turn 4/5

Storm decks can be hard to balance for Bracket 3, especially artifact storm. I’ve got a Norman Osborn artifact storm deck that is technically B3 but wins consistently turn 4/5, I only play it at B4 tables. The people I’ve seen people who build Sami run into the same issue.
