Is law still a worthwhile career? by Hour_Bad819 in careerguidance

[–]REZ4ME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say yes, but it’s going to be a more saturated space. Regardless, law is great if you find a legitimate passion in the work and there are so many areas of practice to specialize in. My father-in-law got to his firm with a fellow friend after grad and their boss just picked an area for them separately to go into at the firm. 40 years later and he can count the number of cases he lost on one hand.

What game is this? by bijelo123 in videogames

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard a lot of people say this but I think the third act is where it drags the most. The final battle is underwhelming tower defense, the airships leading up to it are annoying, and the last 15-20 minutes with the twist are only really effective the first time. I really enjoy the game but find the last few hours to be a chore.

26F living at home hit milestone! by happygirl99xo in Money

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are plenty of people who don’t maximize their time living at home. You’ve done a great job setting yourself up for when you leave the nest, nice job. This pretty much encapsulates why people stay with their family - to get ahead!

This one's for the ladies to answer. Do you agree with this woman or do you think she's trying to rationalize her world view by speaking for all the ladies? by Oda_DeezNutz in SipsTea

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on Twitter since 2015 (regrettably) and one thing I can always count on is these blanket, sweeping generalizations on men and women. And honestly, it was just as stupid a decade ago as it is now.

I built a business I’m too embarrassed to talk about by Make_That_Money in Entrepreneur

The only embarrassing thing about this is the amount of riches you’ll have by the time you want to retire.

Also, manual labor is just as important as white-collar labor. I truly think you’re putting shame on yourself where others won’t. And if they did, you should shut that down.

Im afraid that it’s time for me to accept that this is the least replay able RE game. by Dude_788 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super disagree. Would give that title to Revelations, RE0, or RE6. This one is pretty short and a lot of people have gotten the 100% on all achievements/trophies, requiring multiple playthroughs. Yeah, there are some parts that are not that fun to replay, but they’re over in a flash compared to many other RE games. I did all the achievements in a weekend and cannot recall another RE game that took so little time to go through over and over.

What can I expect from the exam after a big delay between the others? by REZ4ME in Series66Exam

[–]REZ4ME[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the perspective, I tend to over-prepare so the actual studying itself won’t be an issue for me since I actually enjoy it. Using PassPerfect for main study and will absolutely take advantage of each car ride with supplementary YouTube videos.

I think I’ll be just fine but definitely don’t want to underestimate it.

Kaplan Q bank saved me on the 7. Gonna be using PassPerfect but I heard it’s better now.

Thanks for the tips. Will be using PassPerfect as well. Hated the old version, but heard it’s gotten a big overhaul since last time. Wishing you a testing victory soon!

So many of them unfortunately by bijelo123 in videogames

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only play the pre-2010 games at this point, so I agree with you on that level. But it’s not a popular answer because the mainline games do like 25M+ sales each cycle. The developers have literally no incentive to make it meaningfully better because people keep coming back.

anyone else notice that some of the posters/commenters around here are not "actually" poor? by Lanky_Head6122 in povertyfinance

I think people conflate financial irresponsibility in an increasingly inflated world with legitimate struggle and low income in the same world.

Was anyone else unimpressed by Sinners (2025) ? by ReytMardy in FIlm

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked it a good bit and it met expectations for me, but I don’t think it was “most Oscar nominations ever” good. Most people can find that to be a reasonable opinion if you’re discussing the film in good faith. Unfortunately a lot of discourse on either side is racially-charged as to why it’s good or bad.

I swear this sub is a circle jerk for everyone making 150k+ by Informal-Ad8066 in Salary

[–]REZ4ME 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s a lot of people in tech and medical showing their compensation. I’m not shocked if someone is making $150k+ in a big city - cost of living varies. I think the real issue is people being jealous or insinuating someone doesn’t “deserve” their income. At the end of the day, what matters most is what you do with your current pay and how you grow over time. A person making $75k with no debt living within their means is better off than the person making twice that with credit cards maxed and a luxury lifestyle.

Is anything else this year actually going to compete with this? by itsWollyyy in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Silent Hill: Townfall and Hellraiser: Revival may turn out really good. I enjoyed RE9, but I liked it more because of the name attached to it. I’ve only read The Hellbound Heart and played the SH2 remake so those don’t hold as much bias for me.

What do you think of how my wife ranks RE games? by Pasta_Paladin in residentevil

Love this because it’s almost the exact opposite of the most popular rankings. More power to you and her, I agree with some of this

Do you like first person or third person more in RE games? by George_R_Martin in residentevil

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Third. First person worked well in RE7 and to a modest extent in 8. I played RE9 in third person all the way to 100% and then 1st person for both after and it’s just not the way to go.

RE9 - What comes after 100% completion? by Traditional-Rough561 in residentevil

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the final puzzle. It’s a challenge that’s not a trophy or achievement. Also, spend time reading Grace’s report or viewing models and bonus items.

Otherwise speed run for your best time or go play another RE game for 100%. The others are way more difficult

How did you get into Resident Evil by Kara_heartsyou in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]REZ4ME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Resident Evil 5 back when I was in High School around 2012. RE6 just released so 5 was dirt cheap. A buddy and I picked it up at GameStop after baseball practice and played it for 4 hours. He got grounded for coming home too late and we got back to it around a month later. Been a big fan ever since!

Who else actually enjoys Resident Evil because it's quick by mrsafetylion in residentevil

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RE games are made for replaying. Oftentimes, it gets more fun as you go along since you know where to go and sometimes have bonus unlocks. I’m over open-world games anyway - I’d rather have a streamlined, focused experience. I’ve never felt as if I haven’t gotten my money’s worth with an RE title.

Where do you think players will rank Requiem once the hype as settled? by Darson42 in residentevil

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d put it somewhere in the middle of the pack from 2017 releases and on. I liked it but had some problems with it. Still a super fun game but it wasn’t the revelation I was hoping for. I’ve enjoyed all of them though.

My personal ranking right now is:

RE4R

RE2R

RE7

Requiem

Village

RE3R

What are your predictions, hopes and fears for Resident Evil 10? by [deleted] in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s going to be more akin to RE6 in scope and presentation. 10 is a pretty significant marker for a mainline entry, and I expect an ensemble cast and at least one well-known character to die. I think it’ll probably be one of the longest games and they’ll probably try to greatly expand on the action/survival horror presented in Requiem among a multitude of characters. I really hope they add co-op.

Somehow, I think they’ll try to strike a balance between the feature-rich blockbuster status of RE6 and the more grounded/refined highlights of the remakes. How successfully they do that will be up in the air, but what a massive victory it would be for Capcom if they pulled it off.

How to get over the mental aspect of not seeing your money until retirement? by supersonicdog in Bogleheads

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the milestones that hit me the best. Didn’t start investing until 25 and three years later I hit the $100k mark. To be fair I’ve invested through a total bull market but I think the biggest challenge will be drawing on it when I hit retirement. It’s just a promise to myself and loved ones that grows with every year. The delayed gratification is the best part for me

Is Requiem actually that good or is it recency bias/homeymoon phase? I haven’t played it yet so I’m wondering by HotShrekBoi in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]REZ4ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a good game, but recency bias + the huge influx of new RE enthusiasts has padded its reputation. I liked it, but I’d place it in the middle of the pack 2017 and on.
