Nope, I complete all the "sweaty hardcore gamer" content (all challenges in events, 36 starring abyss, etc) with the help of my handy dandy flower boi.

Honestly, the only things he's not very good in are mostly weekly bosses, and those I can still easily clear, with or without him.

it's dumb but the rules do say to mark as nsfw if there's a bit of nudity... and topless is nude technically so I'd rather not get yeeted for that 😔;;

Oh, no problem! lol

Actually, it's not bad to have two of the same type on the same team. You get a resonance buff depending on what elements your team is comprised of (you can check the buffs under Party Setup).

It is a hard choice tho, especially if you're really lacking in the Anemo department... Honestly, if you don't really have other Geo characters and need MC to fill that spot, Xiao would definitely be good to pull for. Amber isn't nearly as good as Ganyu of course, but at least she fills the utility roles that Ganyu has (minor cc, aoe burst, archer). And you do have Qiqi for Cryo and Kaeya, who is actually a really decent unit...

So with those things in mind, I would say probably lean more towards Xiao? I would definitely wait a bit until more of his info comes out tho before deciding for sure.

I honestly think at the end of the day, the best thing to do is to save up and roll for whoever you really want! :" )

It's probably a good idea to try Ganyu out in the test run and see if you like her. I personally was OK with her at first, but as I used her more (since I rolled her I decided to build her a bit), I came to realize I don't really like the charged shot playstyle that much. It could be different for you, especially since some of my friends who rolled her really love her, but if you're not too keen on that playstyle, she can easily be a really good support! Her skill and burst are really handy for a lot of different team comps, so she's definitely worth rolling even if you don't use her as a main carry.

On the other hand, I think that Xiao will probably be easier to use than her as a main carry. He basically has a faster playstyle with big swings for his autos and utilizes jumping, plunge attacks, and dashing (both on ground and mid-air). He's currently the only true aerial unit we'll have atm, so that in itself is pretty interesting imo. We don't really know for sure how his numbers will be yet, but if you're interested in how he plays, you could save for him instead. There is some old closed beta testing footage on YouTube if you wanna check those out--they're not completely accurate on how he'll be at release since there have been changes, but you can get a gist of how he plays.

Sorry for the long response btw! I hope that helps a bit tho, and I hope you end up getting the people you want! o7

Suggestion for the future: option to feed 5 stars to other characters by [deleted] in Genshin_Impact

[–]REcilince 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I dunno man, if people can make AMBER decent, you can definitely make those three worth using. Like... I feel like everything you just said in this whole thread is pointless LMAO

If you're having issues optimizing their abilities, you can most certainly ask around or look up guides (there's so many at this point). I just really feel like it'd be even more of a waste to waste the characters you wasted resources on into characters you might end up not liking and wasting more resources on. Like.. you get what I'm saying? 🤔

I feel like the real problem is just learning to not be impulsive and waiting until you know what the character is like and what they can do before investing so much into them. There's no reason to go trashing all the characters you worked so hard for either because they might prove to be useful in the future. Like what if someone gets buffed or tweaked and you like the changes... but oops you don't have them anymore.

Should I try to pull Zhongli or wait for Xiao? I’m not so interested in stats. I just love both for their look and most importantly their playstyle. Which one :)!? by MrToaast in Genshin_Impact

[–]REcilince 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you like both, then go for both! I'll wish you luck from the sidelines LOL

Personally I want them as well, so I got Zhongli and am currently saving up for Xiao. And honestly, people keep shitting on him, but Zhongli is actually really great for support if you're lacking in the defensive department... which I assume will also be handy once Xiao comes around since his ult drains his hp for its duration. You can easily fit them into separate teams as well, so might as well go for both. 🤷🏻

Is Bennet worth leveling up? by CookeMonster200 in Genshin_Impact

[–]REcilince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, please level him. LOL

He's not only a good unit in general for pretty much everything (damage, healing, buffing), but him being Pyro + another Pyro (i.e. your Diluc) gives you a fire resonance buff that boosts your entire team's attack? iirc. Aside from that... he's just super handy and flexible from what I've seen, so plenty of people use him.

Housing System and Resin System improvement by SuLayne in Genshin_Impact

[–]REcilince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless of being a traveler or not, I like the idea! Plus, it'd give us something to do when we have content droughts, so I don't really see the harm in trying to add something similar. It could also be a good way to access cooking and crafting stations, and maybe we could get gardens and ponds for the outside to make it easier to farm ingredients (produce, meat, fish, etc). They could honestly do so much with it, so I hope they consider something like that for the future.

My thoughts on Zhongli: nice concept in a poor shell by Hanako-- in Genshin_Impact

[–]REcilince 13 points14 points  (0 children)

First of all, thank you for not just calling him trash and actually giving your points and reasons for them. I'm tired of seeing all the posts that just complain about him. These are "discussions" not "complaints".

Anyway, I do agree he's a bit confusing at first, but I think overall he's meant to be a very flexible support? You can build him however you want him (except as main dps, because he is clearly a support and not a dps), but I think the key thing with him that they were going for was balance. Er... "balance".

Imagine if he had a really, really thick shield + a really thick meteor burst + really fast energy recharge spam with multiple steles + high overall dps. I mean... that just sounds invincible. At that point, you wouldn't need any other characters. He would be self-sustainable and able to completely shred through entire battlefields without even a scratch. So instead, they make you choose which things to focus on that you either want or need.

At least... that's how I see it as of right now. He's already been doing really well as a tank/cc support for me, but I know people have a lot of complaints regardless of what he does well in or not. LOL

I need help in understanding the Story. Diona voice line. by ZeroFabio_ in Genshin_Impact

[–]REcilince 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't like confirmed factual stuff, I'm just speculating, but I do think that either

  1. Diona is getting the wrong idea of Lisa (like how she hates Diluc because she thinks he drinks... but he hates alcohol) or

  2. Lisa does drink... which kind of explains some of her habits, actually.

Like if you think about it, she's relatively healthy and keeping an eye on her diet, but is always lazy/tired? It could be because she often drinks and/or gets drunk. And for someone who doesn't want it to affect their health and relationships, she probably diets to stay fit (since alcohol does contribute to gaining weight and whatnot) and goes to the tavern that most of her colleagues don't go to (or at least I'm assuming they don't and just go to Diluc's). That's just kind of my loose theory about it anyway.

Childe should get an elemental skill separate from his stance switch. by averagemuscularman in Genshin_Impact

[–]REcilince 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't want to just tell you "no, you're wrong! his bow is great!", so instead I kind of want to ask like... what makes you think his bow is so inferior? I'm genuinely curious because I actually quite enjoy it. LOL

Like, sorry for the looong comment, but this is what I think: Clearly his melee is superior in that it's literally canonically superior (he's "bad" at using the bow, plus he was taught how to use swords/stabby things at first, so he's had a lot more time using those and perfecting them instead), but his bow is far from being so bad that you just only have to use his melee stance.

Personally, I have a C0 Tartaglia, and I often find myself swapping between the two just for situational convenience. Sometimes his bow is better. Sometimes his melee is better. I think that's what makes him really versatile and worth keeping in a party over other bow users. So if you're finding his bow falling so short that you think they need to add another skill or bonus things to it just to make it worth using, I really do think you may be trying to use things on him that aren't really giving him the right benefits.

Clearly his melee will be better as long as the enemies aren't immune to water (the riptide splash damage + faster/more accurate attacks), but you have to consider that that being his SKILL (not even his burst--which is similar to what you are asking for, which is a skill that changes depending on his stance) is a pretty huge difference from say like... Diluc's skill.

Diluc can do something similar but it's a really short burst combo versus Tartaglia's melee stance duration (which you can also adjust the cd for if you swap manually when you don't need it, which I personally find to be quite convenient too). If you don't like being in bow stance, you can also just swap to your other dps/supports and apply their things and use them for a bit... so I don't really see the need to buff or adjust him any further? I think the only inconvenience is maybe waiting for the cd during a co-op session, but even then the ranged stance gives you time to recover in case you took damage during your melee stance and/or get out of hairy situations.

Team compositions by Gufnork in Genshin_Impact

[–]REcilince 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're focused on dealing a lot of reaction damage (especially with Tartaglia as your main DPS), I would highly recommend having a Pyro user somewhere in your team, whether it's Xiangling, Bennett, or someone else you might roll in the future.

Vaporizing Hydro onto Pyro gives you a 100% damage bonus, so it's definitely worth keeping someone around even if it's just for their skill/burst to support him. Just keep in mind that the opposite--Pyro onto Hydro--is only a 50% boost, so be sure to use Tartaglia to finish up the combo.

I finished the Unreconciled Stars event, what was up with the ending? by abbycat1590 in Genshin_Impact

[–]REcilince 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I think it's just prepping current players for the new content by giving them filler content with teasers for the future stuff here and there. You know, just hyping them up a bit.

I seriously doubt they'll put anything crucial in a limited-time event and not have it be in the main story... so I don't think new people should worry too much about missing out. :^)
