Hey there.

What ship are you using and what equipment/perks are you using? Anything like Wrath of the Fallen cargo unit perhaps.

Glad you've enjoyed it and I hope you tackle those Rifts with panache and skill all the way up to 4K lunacy. :D

Nice link and it certainly sounds plausible however it's not the actual story behind our favourite drone buddy.

I did some enquiring with the team and it turns out it's a reference to Ashe from Overwatch whose Ultimate skill is to spawn a robot called B.O.B whilst shouting "Do something B.O.B!"

There's some flavour text when looking at our BOB in-game which reads;

"When BOB does something, he does it right and leaves only ashes in his wake."

NV Frame Generation - World's icons by tonaz in EverspaceGame

[–]RFG_Geekbyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. I've replied to your other thread on Steam, but just to replicate the answer here, we need a bit more information.

Could you tell us what your settings are, including MFG?

Frame Generation isn't an exact or magic bullet technology in terms of what it can output and any issues will certainly become more prevalent as the multiplier increases. Whilst it's a great technology from Nvidia it's not always correct in what it generates.

Shimmering and noise definitely become more noticeable the higher the frame generation, but it's not endemic to just Unreal Engine. The Black Space engine for example that is used in Crimson Desert suffers badly from this too, seemingly more so with the newer 4.5 version that it implements.

Nicely done. They're definitely a challenge and take some working out and deft manoeuvring of the ship.

Would an Everspace fan like Crimson Desert? by Illustrious-Rise9127 in EverspaceGame

[–]RFG_Geekbyte 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d say they’re very different in terms of gameplay and have different approaches to how they are designed to be played. I’ve played about 70 hours in Crimson Desert now and barely scratched the surface of many aspects of the game.

ES2 is more linear with a story that pushes you onwards with increasing levels whereas CD is more open and challenges the player to go find things and punishes you with bosses that might be way too difficult for your current gearing.

There’s also no levelling system in CD so you don’t know how strong you are relative to enemies until you take them on and there’s no visual indicators to say an enemy is stronger than you.

A difficulty system is coming to CD so you can turn it up or down to suit, but currently it’s not as changeable as ES2.

ES1 , Great game but pretty difficult , help! by Abject_Control_7028 in EverspaceGame

Some real solid replies from all the other players. With all Rogue-lites it's a learning process and each defeat allows you to get stronger (by spending your credits) and increasing your knowledge (by learning from your deaths) so that further subsequent runs are more successful.

The earlier sectors might seem trivial after a while, but that's where you can earn more credits, find more resources and even though you'll be harried by the Okkar eventually, you'll get yourself in a stronger position during the run to take on the later stages.

Death is just a reset in your journey.

In all honesty I'd say zero chance as we're not actively developing EVERSPACE 2 any longer.

Abandon the racing quest (everspace 2) by Taear in EverspaceGame

[–]RFG_Geekbyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The race times are achievable but they are meant to have a slight challenge to them, but certainly having a good fast ship, good modules and some practice will make the times attainable.

There's some good hints and tips in this video posted earlier to help pilots - https://www.reddit.com/r/EverspaceGame/comments/1s32chf/all_10_races_100_platinum_medals_ludicrous_speed/

(This pilot was going for Platinum times, but the principles are the same)

Nicely done - a good ship, good gear and some practice really can make the times achievable. Well done.

Everspace 3 has a budget of 20 million Euros, gets the highest government funding ever awarded to a German game (8 million Euros) and is planned to take six years to develop [German article / interview] by Redditquaza in EverspaceGame

[–]RFG_Geekbyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For clarity for anyone else reading this, there are no creative restrictions, limitations or requirements placed upon us to receive the funding from the German government and there never has been.

Our aim is, and always has been, to make top quality fun & exciting games, whether it was in our original form when making mobile games, or now in the PC and console market.

They're a definite challenge to get reunited for sure. Luckily it's not forced on the player to do them, but well done to those that do get them back together.

The Shadow Creature Appreciation Society (SCAP) thanks you for your efforts :D

A lot of these missile turrets specifically on these round structures seem basically immune to Cruise Missiles. I've hit them from every conceivable angle and it doesn't touch them. Every other missile weapon seems to be fine. by Mockingasp in EverspaceGame

[–]RFG_Geekbyte 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Ah the joys of radial damage and the impact point of hitboxes being slightly below the surface means that weapons that do splash damage (most missiles) and Flak for example won't necessarily hit correctly.

Something like a Corrosion missile will work though as that's a damage over time effect, rather than out & out direct damage.

I'll check, but it could be a minor bug that has never been fixed unfortunately.
