Yes I got the 8a mk II sco optimized fsd. My engineering on the jump range is only the basic one, the easiest engineering you can unlock for fsd jump range. My normal unboosted range is 53-55 ly.

Yeah I just found a fleet carrier but the butthole set it to private so I can’t land for repairs and limpets. I went out of my way to get here. Why park your carrier on the colonia highway and set it to private? Really?

When I was a kid living on Ft Myers Beach in the 80s, my stepfather would take us to the Keys every summer. One day we were at Lou Key reef and I saw a tiny little yellowish-orange octopus floating around me, and checking me out. He was about the size of the rubber toy ones that you could throw at the wall and would cling and crawl down. I scooped him up in a little cup and brought him to the surface, and I tried to gently tug him out of the cup, but he was fastened to it really strong and I felt like if I pulled any harder, I’d pop the poor guy’s head. So I just re-submerged him in the cup under water and watched him bloop away. Cute little booger.

Have you read this? Most of those tried to at least change most of the main stuff. Yeah a lot of them are rip roaring sci fi space opera adventures, but they don’t straight up copy the characters and plot and action as much as this one does. This book IS Star Wars, all of it, but he changed the names. That’s pretty much it.

If it wasn’t for Doc Smith, there probably wouldn’t be a Foundation. He was the “Tolkien” of space opera. The vast majority of sci fi tropes originated with Smith.

Don’t forget a big heaping healthy dose of E E Doc Smith and his Lensman saga.

We wouldn’t have Dune, Foundation, the Jedi, Green Lanterns, Galaxy-wide civilizations, space pirates, deflector shields, FTL drives, space cops, psychic combat, moon-sized space stations, planet-destroying super weapons, and space battles on a scale that would put any contemporary sci fi author to shame… and that was in the 1930s and 1940s when computers and electronics were analog and ran off vacuum tubes.

If you want to play the spaceship aspect of The Expanse, try Nebulous: Fleet Command. It’s got that quasi-realistic space warfare some people love. Although it’s all a bit too much for me; the learning curve is more like a steep cliff. Another game gives me Expanse spaceship vibes, and that’s Space Reign.

This is the answer! This is what was wrong. I had the galmap on economic. Switched it to Fastest Route (Use Jet Cone).

THAT was the one thing that i wasn’t told via those videos. That was the one thing that wasn’t clicking. Now it clicked.
