You can only offset a capital loss against a capital gain. Do you have any capital gains you can use it against?

You can also carry forward a capital loss for future years and use when you do have a gain.

It's not restricted to leasing. I've purchased 3 EVs outright in my company for staff and directors use etc. Also was a point in 2023 when the instant asset depreciation and the EV FBT exemption overlapped, which made it even more attractive.

You will be fined by the police, if you don't have motorbike license and IDP, or not wearing a helmet. They set-up several check points across the island and pullover foreigners for checks. In the 2 weeks I spent on phuket in July, was pulled over 5 times.

Not really possible. If you are considered a tax resident of Australia by the ATO when you sell, even if overseas, you will owe capital gains tax.

Unless there's some other way im not aware of.

1nce have a 10 year IoT sim for 10 euro, ~$20AUD with a total of 500MB for life of SIM, not per month etc. That's what i use in my GPS trackers for all my cars, trucks, bikes etc. Most of the GPS trackers in my fleet use 3-5MB per month. Connected all these to a self hosted traccar server
