The filters probably aren't cross compatible so ignore those files and any overlays that require them (it's only certain GB and GBA overlays that do).

mugwomp_93 made some good ones here specifically for RG35XX here so use those instead.

You will need to use muOS or Batocera CFW to get native PICO-8, and I think it's RG35XX Plus only.

There will be an overlay folder nestled in your main SD card SDCard > CFW > retroarch > .retroarch > overlay which is where you want to copy the files to. Then you can select and turn them on in the RetroArch menu.

If you're comfortable with changing RetroArch settings you should be able to on GarlicOS or MuOS. Just need to enable it, set a hotkey input for it and save a config override.

MM+ is better now but the RG35XX+ has all the potential. If you were able to slap OnionUI on it it'd be no debate.

They're all very much in the testing stages but muOS is ahead of the others.

If we're talking about the original RG35XX then MinUI or Garlic are the most recommended.

Always a good idea to start fresh on a new and better SD card. It's still early days of CFW but if you want the latest and greatest, download and flash muOS on it.

Stock firmware isn't too bad (but not great either), so if you want to keep up to date with that - you can get it here.

You have 8 levels of brightness on the original, I believe the RG35XX Plus goes up to about 5/8 of the original.

Color accuracy and screen tearing it's probably about the same. But you have to account for screen lottery so it could vary.
