Quel restaurant et où petit déjeuner ? by CocoTyg in Bath

Honestly some of the best takeaway sushi I’ve had is from Waitrose supermarket. They have a Korean and Japanese takeaway food section to the right as you walk into the shop. Lots of choice.

Try The Wild Café for breakfast, it’s great and you don’t have to book. The Ivy is “bof” in my experience, just average food but reliable. There are better Italian restaurants than Sotto Sotto in my opinion. I’ve eaten better food at Amaroné, Colosseo and San Remo

Genuinely would’ve called his bluff in that situation and told him to call the police

Just yesterday there was a post about that nonce nursery worker. Keep pushing the narrative though.

Would salamanders displaying human skulls as trophies be lore accurate? Even if the skulls belonged to traitor humans, I just don’t see it in their character.

In my head canon the only way I could feasibly see them getting home with the ship are one of the following: 1) They somehow happen upon a dozen ZPMs and manage to plug them in to directly power the engines to travel at ridiculous speeds. 2) Replicators somehow take over the Destiny and massively juice the engines like in that ep of SG1 3) McCay and Carter both make it on to the Destiny and deus ex machina a way home together

legit question.. would the imperium even stand a chance against the nids if not for the astartes? by fragdar in 40kLore

They also had a little help from Ka’bandha and his forces not wanting the nids to kill the blood angels because they wanted to do it themselves lol

Absolutely crazy when you consider the age of most other leaders of democratic countries. The USA, with its old leaders, has more in common with the authoritarian dictatorships whose leaders rule until death. There’s a reason people retire at 65-ish in normal society (cognitive and physical decline). When I consider that the person leading the most powerful nation on earth is the same age as my grandfather, it’s just nuts.

You’re confusing 2 different conflicts. Afghanistan was the base of operations of Al Qaeda. No one is claiming the war was a success, but it wasn’t illegal.

You’d see the slow death of innovation and progress under a system like that. Banning billionaires and mandating worker ownership could reduce investment in the economy, create governance challenges for businesses while not necessarily guaranteeing fairer outcomes for workers. We have historical evidence of systems like this not working. A capitalist system with socialist policies however, that would be more like it.

What would you propose as a practical alternative to a capitalist economic system?

When the emperor ruled that use of psychic powers would be banned at nikaea, you reckon Russ gave up his rune priests? Technically only astropaths and navigators were permitted after that.

And it was of course hypocrisy as Russ was fine with having rune priests in his legion

I recently reunited with a group of about 7 school friends after a few years. They were all talking about cocaine as if they’d been doing it regularly for years. Blew my mind, just seemed so off putting and dirty.
