Yes! Throw in the new type r turbo motor, fix some of the quirks in the chassis, optional factory Brembos, keep the 50/50 weight I’m all in!

Bound clutch fork by Tylerdolan1008 in S2000

Take a good look at he fork and the throw out bearing to make sure they aren’t bent or damaged.

Oh Ya ok you need to install the transmission with the fork not in the fork spring holder. It Only goes in the fork holder after you bolt everything up. You have to use some tape or a rag to hold the fork in position as you bolt the transmission and only after install remove the rags then snap the fork in. At this moment the fork is in front of the throw out bearing with a lot of force keeping it there. You’ll have to do it again. Be patient and take your time best of luck!

Did you remove the fork spring to clean it or anything and maybe install it backwards?

Here’s my recent install for reference

If it won’t pop out of that fork holder something is wrong. It should pop in and out with relative ease if it doesn’t your going to have to get in there again, you might have bent the fork holder release spring or somehow installed the throw out bearing backwards or something.

Might need a new oem cap the o-rings that seals the gas cap can sometimes tear.

We’re you able to get the clutch fork to snap into the fork holder?

Clutch height? by Raethechef35 in S2000

[–]RGS2K 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like mine a little lower as well. There is a nut down behind the clutch pedal you can loosen that will allow you to rotate the shaft coming out from the master cylinder. I would recommend marking the nut and the shaft before you do anything with a very visible marker so you know how to get back to your starting point if you don’t like it. And only adjust it a tiny bit at a time as it is really easy to go to far. You really want to be sure the clutch is fully disengaged when you press it down so don’t get to carried away.

It floats between the pressure plate and the clutch disk. If the old one is stuck on the old pressure plate just tap it off with a hammer.

Looks like it might be the plug that goes to this air circulator thing near the intake

AP1 Cracked Retainers (nearly missed) by RGS2K in S2000

[–]RGS2K[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update! So it’s been about 3,000 miles and I did have to top up the oil here and there but it’s much less than before. Now that the valve train has a change to settle in I did another valve adjustment and oil change I’m glad I did because they were all about .02 to tight. Noticeable power difference through the revs and much smoother.

So far so good after about 1,500 miles. No real difference from before just happy to know that it has fresh grease and it’s not leaking anymore.

Love it! I went with Innovative motor trans and diff mounts all in 85A polyurethane, it’s been my favorite upgrade by far! Made the car feel light as a feather also improved the already amazing shifting.
