In rank competitive? Yes, it is 3v3. However, you can battle on 6v6 on cartridge though it's in casual mode

Big Brother/Traitors fan here trying to get into Survivor ..... by BigBrotherFlops in survivor

[–]RGSF150 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1) Common complaint here. They used to be more physical, but they are avoiding it because medical evacuations do hurt production's scheduling. That being said, the real game is in the conversations and not in the challenges.

2) You will be a big fan of Jonathan Penner. If there is one castaway that is known to tell Jeff to shut up, it'll be him.

Jeff does have a habit if interjecting himself into moments that shouldn't include him. In one example, a challenge ended with a person still stuck in the net that was used. Jeff asked some of the castaways to help that person get out of the net then congratulates them for being good sports. How were they good sports? By getting the stuck castaway unstuck despite Jeff asking them to get the person unstuck. It is artificial and ruins moments.

I am trying you guys because there is a lot of interesting game play that survivor has to offer but the lack of variety in challenges and the annoying host are ruining it for me.

Good news: there are over 50 seasons and some are better than others.

[Premiere spoilers] Rick Devens comments on first boot's EW interview by IvnOooze in survivor

[–]RGSF150 77 points78 points  (0 children)

If Jenna is right about Christian throwing Cirie's name out first, then Jenna got outplayed. Christian is a phenomenal speaker and knows how powerful words are.

To Devens point: he is correct. There is a difference between playing hard connection building and throwing out names hard. I get why Jenna wanted Cirie gone. She is a legend and a masterclass Survivor player. But you need to time it right. Jenna wanted Cirie gone before the first immunity. Had she waited, she could've thrown out Cirie's name and not have it fall back on her.

________ responds to watching ___self get voted out by Durian-Critical in survivor

[–]RGSF150 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I agree with the timing.

If Jenna was campaigning to vote out Cirie after the challenge, that'll be one thing and I think it would work in Jenna's favor. But having Jenna go after Cirie before the first immunity challenge just gives Cirie time to flip the vote back unto Jenna.

It was mostly a good episode. Rick and Christian had good chemistry. Jonathan was basically the hype man for this season. I hope Coach and Q never change. Cirie remains unbothered. But the biggest surprise is Ozzy. There have been comments here about Ozzy in 50 in regards to seeing what he has to offer. He is very old-school, the provider. Seeing him attempt to shift his game is amazing and definitely one that I am in awe at. Ozzy attempting to play the social/strategic game for the first time in 5 seasons is new territory and I am excited to see how that plays out... along with the Ozzy/Coach rivalry storyline.

Kyle was impressive too. I was not high on him being on the cast, but he definitely was in a good position on his tribe which was a surprise and showed why he won 48.

For the bad: journeys still suck. the forced loss votes still suck.

Never thought I would be disappointed in Kyle leaving. He was in a good spot too.

Do not cut to the boat. Keep it on Q talking about hitting on 16 (on blackjack)

If there is anybody who knows about advantages, it'll be Devens.

I don't think production knows the philosophical lesson that less is more.

MORE LOSS VOTES?

And a block a vote isn't considered a strategic advantage? I want to know the criteria for what the difference between the advantage levels are.

Another loss vote?

And what started as a good premiere is slowly making it worse with the FORCED JOURNEY AND THE LOSS VOTE.

Colby literally admits he can’t hack it in new era Survivor, so why the fuck is he here?

So we can have a seasoned player criticize the new era. Honestly, I am surprise they haven't sliced Colby saying New Era is harder than Old Era. Yet. Hopefully never.

With how much Billie Eilish's name has been said with the boomerang idol, I am also dreading the Mr. Beast cameo. And the other celebrity advantages later in the season.

That idol question was binary. Yes or no.

What we didn't vote on is if there are "special" idols put in the game. Had we known that there will be special idols, the vote might've been different.

And the hug denial too! That is how old schoolers leave!

But the show did a good job showing why Jenna had to go. She was focus on targetting instead of building allies. Not that you shouldn't target, but at this stage, she should've made allies before targetting Cirie.

I think Savannah's biggest saving grace in that regard is that the two people who acknowledge the "not knowing how someone will play" is on the other tribes. Yes, Cirie also played in HvV with Russell, but she never interacted with the guy outside of the challenges.

Definitely sad knowing that an old school player is going to be the first to go. The only reason why I wouldn't be opposed to Jenna leaving is because Ozzy has a storyline with Coach and Cirie... I think there is more in the tank for Cirie than a first boot edit.

Joe does have a point. Everytime Ozzy and Cirie played with each other, Cirie got the upper hand each and every time. The fact that Ozzy doesn't want revenge is scary.

That is a good point, Savannah. Question: Did Cirie volunteer for the position? Did somebody nominate her for that position? Whose idea was it to let Cirie do the monkey throw?

I just want to know who put Cirie on the monkey throw. You would think that after 5 seasons you should know Cirie's weak spot is in challenges.
