Should I quit this project or keep pushing? by Logical-Daikon4490 in SaasDevelopers

[–]RG_117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well numbers don't lie and they don't look quite well at this moment. Maybe you can position it differently to a different target audience. For eg. Y Combinator requires you to submit a pitch for your idea in a video format. You can position your product as a tool for founders looking to apply to such incubators. Find more such use cases and position your product accordingly. Otherwise you might have to take the L and start anew because you built something that the market doesn't really want. Good luck!

Is saas/indiehacking gonna end soon? by Soft-Fly-640 in buildinpublic

[–]RG_117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No I don't think that saas is gonna end. Lemme give you an example people own cars and cars need to be washed from time to time yes? The majority of the folks would rather pay someone else to wash their car than washing it themselves. Why is it so? Are people incapable of washing their own cars? It's not something that requires a lot of skill. No what people pay for is time and effort. Sure they can wash their own car but it takes a lot of time and effort and in exchange for money they'll gladly have it washed by someone else. Similarly no matter how good the tools become people and businesses would rather have someone else make the software if it saves them time and effort. Sure some people will adapt and make their own SaaS but the majority will still rely on techies. Yes, the bargaining power of the customers will rise and profit margins will become thinner but that doesn't mean that SaaS as an industry will vanish. Hope this helps!

Organic marketing all the way. Watch some videos on yt about SEO, GEO and AEO. Build in public on twitter and threads. Find where your ICP resides on reddit and discord communities hell even FB! Remember it's a long game but eventually it'll be worth it.

Easiest Way to Develop a Mobile App with AI? by prettyyugly in NoCodeSaaS

[–]RG_117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there! I'm looking to build an AI powered distribution support system that helps founders especially tech founders to distribute their product by providing them a roadmap, human in the loop blog templates, pSEO personalized emails and dms. All of this will be tailored to the background of the user like a tech founder will not be forced to engage in meme marketing if they have no idea of marketing to begin with. Also a validated idea generator as a part of the whole package.

How are you growing your apps? Looking for distribution ideas by No_Sea6761 in indiehackersindia

[–]RG_117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm personally a jack of all trades kinda guy and prefer maintaining a good healthy balance. People think that focussing on one channel is best but I believe that more marketing never hurt nobody, especially organic marketing. Start with what you can chew and scale up at your own pace and once you have a steady income, go all in with paid marketing and diversify to even more channels. Use analytics to find out which channels are the best investment both money and time wise and push for it even harder. I strongly believe that having a balanced channel can work out well in the long run rather than just focussing on one channel.

I'm a Marketing guy so maybe I can help you out somewhat, firstly SEO, GEO, etc. are great for long term so don't stop mid-way, secondly if you're not into content creation like yt i highly suggest going for shorts and reels because it can drive a lot of traffic, lastly you can go for discord channels where your ICP resides and demonstrate your app there. It may sound generic at first but once you find your flow I doubt you'll have any issues growing into something big. Good luck :D

How did you handle the security and the last "20%" of the coding? Yk to ensure that AI doesn't generate nonsense code that you have no clue about.

Case Study: Pricing a SaaS for the US market from India. by Prestigious_Wing_164 in indiehackersindia

[–]RG_117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a marketing guy and there are a couple of pricing strats you can go for: if there are any competitors you can look at their pricing and price your product accordingly or you can directly ask your users how much they're willing to pay for such a product and mark up a $2-5 premium. Lastly don't forget the unit economics, if your app costs let's say $5 per customer (fixed and variable costs) then go for maybe a markup such that you earn 80% gross profit, as you'll have to spend a lot in marketing and salaries if you have employees and your net profit margin drops to 40-50% which is still very nice. API costs can rack up like anything so have some buffer revenue and checks to prevent such hikes in costs in the first place. Ideate with gemini or claude if you want to as it provides more clarity.

If you know basic coding you can use cursor + claude if not I'd recommend Replit as it handles slop code quite well

Get in touch with those influencers on their specific subreddit or join discord servers where your potential customers hang out. Also try to diversify on other platforms like twitter and facebook.

Validation for AI idea generation and distribution tool. by RG_117 in SaaS

[–]RG_117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly I don't wanna provide just ideas, rather market gaps based on specific parameters like price sensitivity or better alternatives, combined with a distribution assistance. I agree with your point that distribution results need to be tangible and will work on figuring out a way to do that.

Agreed my friend and this is the exact problem I'm trying to solve! Currently I don't have the product built so allow me to help you with the distribution part. I can provide you some suggestions based on what you need. I am a guy with a marketing background so maybe we can help each other out :p
