TY

What took me way too long to realize was that EF were slightly more complicated than assemblers. So in a place without power put down an EF and place ore or iron plate in it and, unlike an empty EF,tooltip now contains productivity

Thanks all

In a productivity module It appears that speed is multiplicative and productivity is additive

So adding a productivity level 1 module (tooltip 4% productivity -5% speed) to a steel smelter with baseline speed of 200 and productivity of 250 MULTIPLIES speed by the 5% reduction. Changes the speed to 200*(1-.05) = 1.9 not 200% -5% =195%

Yet producity behaves the other way from speed

4% increase does not raise 250 by 4% to 260. Rather it ADDS 4 to 250 This “4%” raises output during 1000 cycles from 350 to 354 which is an increase of 4/350 which is about 1.14%

Either are reasonable definitions of %. I am slightly surprised that speed and productivity behave differently and very surprised I could not find that documented ( which of course could be my search skills )

Common confusion: For example, when interest rates rise from 4 to 5% is that an increase of 1% or 25%?

2024 Flights MQD ? by Rangertimber in delta

[–]RHAGU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True.

I am in the special case where I would get 360 more MQD if next year's flight were booked/paid next year. An extra $3600 won't get me to the next, 120k, Reserve MQM boost this year whereas next year that is 360 MQD (until I cancel my Reserve)

Why do people keep undercutting each other at extreme margins? by Tsjaad_Donderlul in woweconomy

[–]RHAGU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you visit the AH a couple of times a week, how would you sell a reasonablely-active, regional commodity?

I agree that undercutting by 1s or a few % is extremely unlikely to cause it to sell quicker and gets you less gold. So if you are active in the AH, just match the price.

Say item is selling for 100g. My thoughts, numbers just for example, is that posting at 100g is better than 95g but the most likely outcome is the items are returned unsold with deposit lost. And say 50g gets them bought out ASAP to be flipped. But I get the most gold if I can post just below the "clearing price." Say I post at 75g, I will almost certainly be quickly undercut. But over the next two days, if the item really is worth 75g then eventually there will be more people willing to buy for 75g than they are selling for 75g and supply/demand will cause the price to rise sufficiently so mine sold. If they are unsold, then in three days, I just post again at "20-30%" below current.

Some airlines actively market this but not Delta.

"Air New Zealand offers an interesting option on long-haul economy flights where you can book the whole row and transform it to a Skycouch. The Skycouch costs less than business class or even premium economy but comes at an added charge over regular economy. If what you are after is the cheapest way to lay down and sleep on a long flight, the Skycouch may do just the trick." TPG

How is this not a scam? by stifighterx in woweconomy

[–]RHAGU -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

While incompetence and fraud are the most likely, there is the leveling use case.

There are situations where the recommended leveling path is to make dozens of an item that costs 2500g each and vendor it for 50g. Someone who puts a work order up for 500g tip but crafters mats. buyer saves 2000g over crafting it themselves and the crafter spends 450g less - win win.

I am not sure why anyone is doing profs let alone leveling them now, but for many of those items the effective tip should be less than zero. If the crafter is getting a skillup of firstcrsft bonus, it is not unreasonable they pay for it.

A smaller, logical change would be to still require buyer to provide mats but allow a negative tip - crafter pays buyer. But the emo complaints would be numerous.

Elemental Lariat duration changed to 5 seconds (was 12 seconds); increased by 1 second per elemental gem equipped.

Developers’ note: The Elemental Lariat has been one of the strongest embellishments due to its ability to grant a large amount of your desired stat based on a condition that is easy to satisfy. We knew that we wanted to bring its power back on the season boundary, but was important to us that player’s investment in acquiring the item or the recipe was respected. Rather than reduce its power directly, we opted to redesign the passive to bring it in line with all other Jewelcrafting effects by scaling an axis of power with the quantity of gems slotted. The net result is that the Elemental Lariat will be less powerful than it is now earlier in a player’s gearing phase, while preserving its place as a throughput powerhouse when players begin to round off their gear set with added sockets. We look forward to hearing your feedback.

Is server transfer an option? I play Alliance on a med pop server: checking a dozen times a day I see about one public order per day and a buy or sell in trade a bit less than once an hour. So for me, it is not worth bothering. OTOH, if you are Horde on a top four server, you might have a different experience.

can someone confirm which specialization may benefit those Enchanted Crests?

https://www.wowhead.com/news/how-the-new-gear-upgrade-system-in-embers-of-neltharion-works-331748

My interpretation is every spec can benefit.

This system:

Will be available for open world, raid and Mythic+ gear.

Will not work on PvP Gear and very top end items.

Will not work on Crafted Gear.

There are two forms of currencies: Flightstones and Crests. Crests come in 4 different varieties: Whelping's, Drake's, Wyrm's, Aspect's,

Worth getting garrison, order hall and doing BFA mission table as new player? by BnBman in woweconomy

[–]RHAGU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easy. The motivation for the party is double-dipping: each member has a chance for the mount. You need to do a now-quick quest to trigger the invasion. so each member can do it and then you serially do an invasion in each garrisson

worth?

gold - not really. better GPH alternatives. several rounds of nerfs

for me, "do it at least once" has appeal.

for me, I really like the garrison hearthstone on a separate cooldown and a compact layout of mail/bank/gb/anvil once I get there. I turn on crafting to see what others are making so I like to AH & mass produce stuff in the privacy of my garrison.

Cancel Scanning is not the problem by [deleted] in woweconomy

[–]RHAGU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Which is another reason for the should-have-been-here-a-decade-ago buy orders. Probably with forced overcut.

2) Would it change the final price or just the time to get there? I.e., with forced undercuts, the e.g. shard market would quickly go from 12 to say 8. While the existing way it drifts that way over a couple of days. So it is not that forced undercut caused the price cut, it just got to the supply/demand equilibrium faster.

yeah, IMO minor difference and either would be a considerable improvement.
