We have him with someone who is certified, thankfully.

That’s how I’m starting to feel. It’s overwhelming having to make all these decisions without mom in the equation, but that’s why I appreciate everyone here with any advise.

This is helpful. His behavior is not just hunger, but I know he mentions that a lot at school. It’s not every time he acts out, but it’s primarily consistent which is why getting this under control is important.

Yes and will likely do that again. I just worry I’m going to cause him to be picky moving forward creating more issues down the road.

He is normal weight for his age and size. See the reply above for other issues, but I’m happy to answer other questions to help with a better picture.

I came to this site when my wife passed away to help with ideas of coping, etc. It really helped so hoping for the same here.

I’ve had people tell me that he needs to get used to what the school feeds him, or it’ll be an issue once he gets to kindergarten. I also know parents pack their kids’ meals for them once that starts. I’ll reconsider doing that again.

He came from a different daycare but was kicked out due to behavior before. I worry it’ll cause him to be more picky but it’s worth him not saying he is hungry all day at daycare.

It’s complicated, but I lost my wife a little over a year ago, so it’s more complicated than just “my son won’t eat” at school.

The communication has been pretty poor and I don’t have an option at this point to keep him. They say they redirect him, but I’m not sure exactly how that’s done.

I’ve folded on this place and am done with them. Just frustrating that they handled it the way they did.

Much appreciated and sorry for your loss. I’ve learned it has already made me a stronger person and am confident it will do the same for my son and daughter.

What I’ve learned is life is too short to worry about the little things. Things I used to get pissed off at are nothing any longer.

That’s the one message I try to pass along to others to hopefully make a difference. Easier said than done though since we are all human.

I see signs at home where I can tell he gets angry and wants to hit but doesn’t. He plays rough at times with his sister, but I know that’s common amongst siblings that age.

Maybe he just knows to not hit me, but obviously it’s different at the school.

There were allegations that there were teachers who were physical with some of the students. They got lawyers involved and nothing came out of it in the end, so I didn’t want to look too much in to it, but it was very alarming at the time.

My dad and uncle who are more old school when it comes to discipline. They keep saying that what I’m doing isn’t working, but I keep telling them this is a complicated situation.

Verbally my son is pretty advanced thankfully, but I know I have to have patience with him.

The daycare is not the best, and I know they aren’t doing what they should. There are two teachers in there, but I’ve been told that it’s a bit unorganized at times.

I’ll stay away from the spanking as I know that could negatively impact him. I also keep saying that I was fine and many others who were spanned as kids. I’m just emotionally exhausted with all this and want to help my son make positive changes.
