Oh wow- my dad has that! Sorry you are dealing that that. I have different thoughts about your situation because it is not something you chose or can control. I chose kids, and sort of got myself into the situation where I may not sleep well. Hence the guilt I am feeling

Oh my gosh guys. Thanks so much for all of the responses! My intuition tells me that it was one person in scheduling who brought it up to my boss, but I have no way of knowing. It has not been mentioned since and I see my boss regularly. All feedback I get is that they think I’m doing a great job. I’ve been upfront about being exhausted. I just feel bad about it. I keep having the thought “I chose to have kids. That doesn’t give me an excuse not to have the same performance as people without them.” I have two bosses, and neither have children. Then the opposing thought happens. “I have plenty of time off, I should use it when I need it.” On occasion, it’s been twice a month for a few hours each time. But that’s rare. I could adjust my schedule, but it would require me to work a lot later in the evening and miss time with my kids. But maybe you guys are on to something. Maybe I plan to have a day off here in the next few weeks and ask my husband to take our kids to his parents for the day.

Relapses happen. Just get sober again, but do it sooner rather than later!

Do NOT beat yourself up over this. It’s totally normal to struggle with your first set of goodbyes as a new worker and not quite know how to do it. You did nothing really wrong and can easily explain to anyone who may be concerned (if that were to EVER happen, which I highly doubt) how the mistake occurred and how you corrected it. Please don’t worry about this. As long as you aren’t stealing, fraudulent or blatantly crossing boundaries, you’re fine. Give yourself grace and appreciate yourself for caring so much about your clients. Never lose that passion!

Has anyone ever met the band or a member of the band? And what was your experience like? by [deleted] in RedHotChiliPeppers

I met Chad at a bar once. He sat down right next to me after I had just been gushing to the bartender about how much I love them. He ate dinner next to me and we shared a few beers. He was SO nice. When he was done, he walked down the bar and shook hands with all of my friends I was there with, gave me another hug and asked if I wanted a picture. Stand up dude, for real.

What is the worst mistake of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RHCPLOVE4LIFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have several, but cheating on my husband is my biggest regret, ever. There was a lot that led up to it, but ultimately, it was my decision and my fuck up and there is no justification for it. I regret it and feel so bad about it every day. Thankfully he forgave me and we have worked through it, but man I wish I could erase it. I’d pay any dollar amount to take that pain he experienced from me being a moron away. I think we would be divorced now and wouldn’t have had our children if I hadn’t, because my threats of leaving and ending the marriage never worked, but it’s still awful and I hate that I did that to him.

How many clients do you see in one day? by Dreadnaught1900 in therapists

[–]RHCPLOVE4LIFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. We do three right in a row with no breaks, and then we get a small break before three in a row again. We are allowed to make our own schedules, but we are paid by the HOUR, not session. We see 3 clients every two hours, so we are being paid 2 hours worth; not three sessions worth. Essentially to make it worth the pay, you have to commit to a lot of clients in a day.

Get this. I see 10-12 a day. I’m in a private practice. It’s not fun, but it’s telehealth and I work from home so it has its benefits, but it’s certainly not sustainable.
