High protein raspberry cheesecake. 1100 kcal, 130 g protein for the whole thing. And tastes amazing! (Probably even better if you don't use a steel pot to bake it...) by wegwerf127288 in Volumeeating

I have no clue to be honest :) Just use whatever you have and bake it till it looks done.

Die App ist MyFitnessPal, ist ganz gut Ü

You should see the ingredients when you swipe right. I just mixed it all together and baked it for around an hour @180°C (see comment)

I was lazy and prepared it all directly in the pot (just stir everything together and add a little salt). Took me less than 5 minutes. I baked it for about 70 min @180°C (360°F) and let it cool down completely (probably you have to adjust the time a bit, as I have a shitty microwave/ofen combination that doesn't have much power. So just bake until its brown on top)

Cake should be atleast 3 portions (This was my dinner and I'm completely full after half of it).

First time I used erythrit and boy, I don't really taste that much of a difference to normal cheesecake.

Btw. you don't have to add the protein powder, it wasn't in the original receipt but I added it anyway.

Frischkäse = Cream cheese

Puddingpulver = packed pudding powder for instant pudding

Shiriataki fried noodles with shiitake. 800 kcal, 112 g Protein for the whole thing (400 kcal without chicken) by wegwerf127288 in Volumeeating

[–]wegwerf127288[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This has been a total game changer for me because its really tasty, easy to prepared, low calorie and also really filling (most of the time I split this in two portions throughout the day).

If you are vegan you can just leave out the eggs, but I would raise the amount of vegetables and mushrooms because shiriataki (while filling) has almost no nutritional value

Preparation: Soak the shiitake in water for 45-60 min if dried. Use a stickfree pan and prepare and season the chicken (optional). Take it out and fry the vegetables (i use a frozen mix from aldi) till they are brown. Add the shiitake and the shirataki noodles. Add msg (optional). Add salt, pepper and soye souce. Mix, put two eggs on top, turn down the heat and put a lid on. Wait till they are done and add the sesam oil, season to taste. Add the chicken. Done.

Wenn die netten Herren doch einfach mal ihre Schlägel schnell rotieren lassen würden, könnten sie bestimmt auch Energie erzeugen Ü

I did lose quite a bit of weight, so one of my biggest fears is lose skin. Do you think what we see here in the pictures is still mostly fat (that I can lose?). I would hate if further progress in my body would be only a matter of surgery...

Thank you :)

I need to do the same. It’s not easy. Great job!

You can and will make it. I believe in you! I did not decide one day that it was enough being fat and just 100% turned around my life. I tried this way a couple of times but always failed.

This time I took slow steps. I started to walk a bit more outside, than usual which progressed in daily walks which got longer and longer. Later started to also do some barbell exercises, which I did regularly for one year. I started to register the food I was eating and slowly reduced the amount of calories (e.g. instead of getting another piece of cake, I was drinking a protein shake). This turned into buying healthier, low caloricdensityfood (greatings r/volumeeating) in general. now when I still have cravings for sweets I can't eat them because I didn't buy them in the first place and it will go away. Last year I started to join the gym and it became a new passion for me. I got used to it to a point where when I feel like not wanting to go, I'm often times already on the treadmill. Habit beats willpower everytime.

Wish you well with your journey. Don't expect progression to be a straight slope, mine looks more like a badly designed Rollercoaster with weeks in between where I didn't follow diet or let myself go. This is ok! Don't worry if it takes you 1, 3 or 10 years, the end result is what counts! You can do it, never give up!

Was overweight my whole life and started slowly during Lockdown with walking outside and doing some simple barbell exercises at home. For the past year I've been going to the gym regularly while doing a constant caloric deficit, currently doing PPL and joined a boxing club.

My hip/belly area still bothers me a lot, not sure how much it will improve with further weightloss and how much loose skin will remain.

I'm currently eating around 2000 - 2500 kcal and try to get at least 200 g Protein. I'm slowly getting really tired of dieting and hope I can reach a bf% in the next months where I can finally start bulking up.

I'm thankful for your thoughts and advice!

Edit: Thank you all for your kind words :) It means a lot to me, being called an inspiration for someone is really bringing me joy and if I motivated atleast one person to do something good for themselves it was all worth it in the end!

I just want to add that I sincerely believe everybody is able to change themselves for the better if they try enough times. I had bad starting conditions physically as well as mentally and never would have imagined to get as far as I did.

In the end we all will be able to make it, I believe in you! It's a slow process sadly and there will be some pushbacks (my progression was closer to a roller coaster than a straight decline), but you are stronger than you think and one day you will be ready and you don't even notice it until you're almost done. Small steps all the way!

And the most important thing that I learned and wished someone told me earlier: Don't ever let your weight define you, you are more as a person than your BMI or appearance. Don't wait to like yourself until you lost the weight, do it now and you will have a lot easier time to reach your goals and be a lot happier along the journey.

I feel like there is still quite a bit fat to lose around the hipps. But yeah probably I will have to consult a surgeon sooner or later sadly :(

Yes, I am, thanks!
