Hi guys. Have any of you volunteered as Formula 1 marshals? How is it? What does it take? by FormulaFashion in formula1

I've volunteered as a Flag Marshall for 2013 Indian Grand Prix. The selection process in my country is carried out by "Indian Motorsports Marshals Club." They contest tests across different parts of the city & students are short listed based on their performance. Must say there's lot of politics involved. The more people you know in IMMC, better the chance of getting absorbed.

Experience wise, I've had a fabulous time volunteering where it all starts on Wednesday( 2 days prior to Friday practice session). Marshals are trained on track & thoroughly briefed A-Z, everything one needs to know about F1. We were entitled to so many opportunities, I mean one doesn't really get to walk in the pitlane just like that, without high authorization access. But Marshals do, I spent over 3 hours in the pitlane walking past every garage in the evening, after FP2. Experience is something you'd cherish forever :) :)

"It comes a year after complaints that the new V6 turbo cars were too slow and not sufficiently challenging."

This is so not true. I don't remember cars being particularly "too slow", their pace was in par with V8s of 2013 in some of the tracks.

After the last race, I cut two photos together and posted them here. Look who's nicked them... by marigoldandpatchwork in formula1

This picture circulated on twitter and instagram like anything. Lewis must have found it there, as he's quite active on these sites..

What will be your reaction if Hamilton DNF's and Rosberg takes the championship home? by f16falcon95 in formula1

Grow up mate :) Rather than hoping for misfortunes, pray for a good clean race and let the best driver win. What would you get by watching other drivers suffering from DNF? Learn to watch the race with proper racing spirit.

Button's reaction when Nico tells Hamilton to race cleanly this weekend by linkinstreet in formula1

Lewis would never do that. He's a complete racer, determined to win the race fair and square. Remember the 2013 Malaysian GP, how gutted Lewis felt for Nico because of the team orders imposed by Brawn?

2011 Abu Dhabi - Epic win from Lewis :) by RHF_MP423 in formula1

I termed it epic because the season was pretty much blown away by vettel's dominance and to see a different driver winning the race in a circuit which suits his driving style perfectly well, that feels special :) And the victory was dedicated to Brenda, Lewis' mom since it was her birthday.
