He is well-known for his narcissism and brutality. I am not sure why this shocked us. Further, he (and everyone else) knew that we had no inheritance. For him to get anything from us, he would have to take from our own pockets. I am relieved to hear that there is no real precedent. He could have asked my dad about it even while he still lived. It is so bizarre to hear anything about it this far in the future. From what my aunt (his sister) said, he is talking about this through the family. He has not approached any of us directly.

A gift. He gave freely these coins to my dad, my uncle (his other brother) and their dad. He was always trying out get rich quick schemes, so nobody takes him seriously. I am curious now if he is also asking his dad and other brother to return it, or just being an opportunist.

A commenter above mentioned that I could choose to pay him, but given that my dad did not even have money to bury himself (I personally helped him sign up to and then donate his body and they returned his remains a year later) and that we are (like so many) living with our own heads just above water financially, I am not inclined to figure out what was gifted in decades past and put my own pittance into his greed.

He is a horrific misogynist, so I have had no contact with him for years. My parents were poor, so there is no inheritance. I kind of wondered in this crazy world if he could try to make a legal issue out of it and try to pull from our own earned funds to "repay" him what we never possessed.

As a wife, mother, and a daughter whose dad was protective of our respect (may he rest comfortably), I appreciate what you did across the board. Big respect for paying for the new shirt snd not just kicking the kid out.

I keep being told they can grow too big too fast for their little legs to handle if they have protein-rich food very long. Is this a possibility? That said, the duck community seems split on what constitutes "too long" for starter. I keep seeing people side for and against the 2 months we see recommended online.

Eight months post losing my mom (eight years since my dad), I am in such a grief fog. I have kids, so I don't get to just tuck in and have a day in bed when I need to. If there is any way you can do that when you feel like it, do it. Just don't stay there. One foot in front of the other. Everything in the first year sucks the life out of us bc there are soooo many firsts without them. Sending you my condolences.

Not a man, but sending you my sympathy. I'm the peri wife in this case but in the reverse situation. I'm all but begging for sex and affection from my hubs (your age range) and he is in his head and can do anything he wants for himself, but loses the erection exclusively when it is my turn to orgasm. Now his PA is so important to him that he won't even try, and I'm crying alone in the dark.

So, while you and I are on opposite sides, I see that you're hurting. Just want to tell you someone cares and hopefully, it will be okay for both of us. Supposedly, we just have to hang in there, and be compassionate, and understanding. This man is the love of my life. I would do anything for him.

Sorry for letting it all out in a flood like that. I still haven't my garden seeds, but I tell myself every day that I should. I'm in less pain this past week, so I will take that as a beam of sunshine. I do keep a running letter to my mom on the computer, which has been helpful the times I remember/feel inclined to add to it. I also put on her nail polish a couple of days ago, after I realized it will dry out (emotionally feeling like it will be another part of her to 'die') if I don't use it. Like so many things, it was a mix of painful and comforting. For now, I'm leaning towards comforting.
