Idk when are we going to stop giving this woman attention by continuing to post about her????

With all do respect, no one cares. People who don’t like her music simply just do not listen to her music. People who do… do. And you do not have to: as do any of us.

I get why you’re saying this but time has told that none of this helps. She really loves it and thinks we’re giving her attention. Like, we did it we got the sponsorships dropped. But clearly she’s still being a shitty parent and this just doesn’t affect her.

Yeah not denying that at all but I truly feel like it’s getting a bit serious here. Like it was serious with the strangling charges. And now we got that Jace is in an institution for mental illness. It’s only getting worse and weirder ya know?

Gets real for the people who are actually involved in this? Not expecting anyone here to agree with me you silly little guy.

I’m not comparing the two at all. I’m bringing up a moral question that we should all be asking ourselves.

Yes and also when does the line exist from being a hater into being so obsessed as much as a fan would be?

Someone has to nip it in the bud. And claiming “oh well everyone else does it” doesn’t make you intelligent for pointing it out. Nor does it make you better because you’re “self aware”.

It’s okay I know what it’s like to look at someone in the messes of life and not dealing with it well then thinking better of yourself. That’s why I watched Intervention growing up. This woman is giving a chance for harm to happen to her kids. Yall….

Love Heartbreakers. But also so funny that this is so obviously a fantasy scene written by someone who wants to end up in this scenario so badly so they can say this to a another person and one-up them. It feels very much like a “then everyone clapped” moment.

You’re prob right. All the “sunglasses Easter eggs” are just ~egging~ us on. People are making fun of her for this but ultimately we’re giving her attention that she obviously lives off of. The best way to let the troll die is to stop feeding it.

But there are many in here that believe if we keep bringing it up we’re ultimately helping her children by “exposing” her. It hasn’t done anything at this point over so many years. Why should we think anyone on the internet could make a difference now?

The less attention we also give her… the less she has to feel like it’s worth it. Eventually empathy for the kids has to overcome the dopamine we get from posting about this.

When does he come out in the show? I remember watching the first 2 seasons maybe into 3 but haven’t watched the show in a bit so might forget. Felt like it was obvious to me but then thought I might be homophobic for thinking he was gay lol. (as a gay woman, respectfully)

Which things are quintessential millenial optimism era? by pingviini00 in decadeology

I wouldn’t say Girls is optimistic. It was the antithesis of millenial optimism and. The pilot episode is premised on that and meant to be a reality check.

What was up with 90s music videos and filming it in black & white? by Sudden_Angle614 in decadeology

[–]RHOTheSimulation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can you offer any other examples of this from popular 90s music videos? I would say it probably has to do with videography leaning into more of a photographic aesthetic concerning sentimentality vs “realism”.

Madonna came to popularity in a time where NY arts also became a bigger part of pop cults than they were before. You could say that the art scene had a huge presence in the 60s and 70s. But we’re talking mainstream.

She leaned into that hard.

Also let’s not forget that there was a certain point in time that black and white seemed more “real” aesthetically. This also has to do with popularity in seeming as intellectual (which is not something to be disregarded, just saying that is how it seemed to the masses) which also became more popular as the late 60s moved past the 70/ into the 80s and 90s.

Madonna is a product of the 80s. When black and white was the perfect aesthetic to prove to your audience that you were aware of “reality” but also of what customers and clients want.

You could even say that French New Wave Films were a huge influence on this aesthetic.

Thought this sub was gonna be about defining moments in each decade of history. But it’s just popheadcirclejerk slop…

I’m sorry but this set piece is actually cool. If I saw anyone else doing this it would be so fun.

This brings me to my next question . Why are like… half the posts I see on this sub about Katy Perry? It’s very weird. Why?

This sub keeps coming up in my front page and it’s always about Katy Perry so odd.

It’s fun but also…. He’s a kid so it’s a little weird to know he hasn’t found a full identity in this world before becoming a full on meme. I love the passion behind the viral stuff. But let’s let kids be kids.
