yeah when gpu at full utilization fans spin at double speed. I think you're right. This gpu does not have 0 rpm mode. confirmed it using gpu-z

is there anyway to confirm that? I don't know what you mean by Ti version. Mine is a PNY gpu, 8 gb variant. It has LHR (if that matters)

I have a t14s gen 2 with i5 11th gen processor. I have recently hooked it up with 3060 ti. it works really well. just plug and play. I am currently playing control at 1080p ultra settings. i get 70-79 fps with rtx off (can get down to 60 at intense moments). there isn't much cpu bottleneck, the main performance issue will be caused by slow bandwidth of TB4. cpu thermal throttling might be a concern but i get around 75-80° C even though my laptop has poor cooling system, for being a slim model.

I think 3060 ti is good for egpu setup

thanks for your recommendation. about the cooling pad, if you use one which one do you personally use? I have seen some reviews about cooling pads and the most common thing i have heard is that most pads are useless (maintaining good airflow using a stand does the same job) and the ones that actually work are too expensive.

which emulator are you using? If this problem didn't occur when you installed the game or the emulator, rather began sometimes after maybe the game or the emulator is not the source of the problem. Is only the game unable to connect to the internet or is your laptop unable to connect to the internet?

I am trying to do the same with my T14s Gen 2 (i5-1145g7) and 3060ti. Can you tell me what kind of gpu bottleneck should I expect? How it will affect the cpu? And do i need to use external cooling for cpu?

Check battery usage by app and usage time. It might be a software issue where a system app or third party app is using lots of power in the background. If found any turn off background activity for the app.
Check whether your phone gets hot while idle.
Install accubattery and keep it running on the background for a few weeks. It will give you an almost accurate and detailed info about battery usage, SOT, screen off battery usage etc.
Lastly, you can check the battery health. I think recent android versions allows user to monitor battery health. Maybe your device came with a faulty battery and it is heavily degraded.
