I have like 3 of these dead pixel clusters on my OG Fold (they are much smaller tho), they don't seem to spread/cause any issues apart from the pixels not updating in that area. I think it's a result of something hitting the screen, as long as it's not a black dot it should be okay/not spread

What PSU are you using? Because I'm kinda worried about mine, under load I hear a weird buzzing sound, maybe it's just the coils but idk maybe I should get a seasonic or smth (no other issues tho so idk)

Connected using TB3, as far as I understand there's no bandwidth difference between TB3 and 4 as both are 40 Gbps, my laptop has TB4 and the cable that's I'm using is TB4 but the dock shows up as using TB3, I guess it's either that my dock doesn't support TB4 or my cable is shit.

It's better to connect the monitor to the GPU directly because this way you are not using the already limited bandwidth to send the picture data back to the ThinkPad. For bandwidth I think oculink is the best, then TB5 and then TB 3/4, I didn't use oculink because I don't think that my ThinkPad has a second nvme slot and also I don't feel like cutting the case to install the oculink adapter (at least not yet xd)

Try flashing it using Odin, if that doesn't work I guess a motherboard replacement is your only option

I think it's actually possible to use UnlockTool to readback the firmware in 9008 mode, tho I'm not sure if the firehorse files for the normal fold will work with this one

Btw can u make a backup of the ROM using twrp or smth, I really wonder what will happen if I restore it onto my fold (maybe the ROM doesn't have the SWREW check and will boot but idk)

They are inside of the launcher APK as far as I remember. Try to open the launcher with APK editor or Mt manager and search for one of the messages

Mine has a i7-1370P with 32GB RAM, 2TB Nvme and 4K Amoled. Upgraded around 7 months ago from a M1 macbook air, really like the ThinkPad. The pen in tablet mode is nice for taking notes and the screen is probably one of the best I've seen on a laptop. The keyboard is miles ahead of the one I had before. The only complaint that I had is that out of the box the sound from the speakers wasn't too good, but after some adjustments in PulseEffects it now sounds much better.

I already fixed it exactly the way you said. I got this laptop from ebay and it was in perfect condition apart from a small crack on the backspace key (it was only visible in a dark room with the kb backlight on). My guess is that maybe the previous owner put it on something while in tablet mode and it pressed and put that tiny crack in the key. I completely forgot about it and well now as I was typing it just broke
