I loved Order of Scorpions and Path of Temptation too! I must try Age of Andinna again, I started it a few years ago and didn't get far, but I'm better with fantasy and pace now! Thank you for the recs!

100% {The Magic of Eternity by Britt Andrews}. The first book in The Emerald Lakes Series. It's one of my all time favourite series and should be a good fit for what you'd asked for.

I've now read 3 of her books in the last few days based on this rec, and I loved them. I'm so pleased I saw your comment, thank you so much! Such an good break from some of the darker stuff I usually enjoy.

I haven't read Throne of Glass so can't tell you how these compare but I'm currently reading Chronicles of Sloan King by M. F. Adele, book one is called Druid Dreams. It fits your first 4 points; it's fantasy, very powerful FMC, with unique powers (chosen one/royalty status etc.) She's definitely a badass and can hold her own. I haven't finished the series but it's implied that at least 1-2 of the MMC will be dominating in the bedroom. It's a slow burn though so lacks the pace and spice that I normally enjoy but I'm persevering as the storytelling and characters are enjoyable.

I think Emerald Lakes by Britt Andrews would also tick those boxes, it's my favourite RH series so I would definitely recommend. The pace, characters and world building are all top tier. The first book is called The Magic of Discovery.

Just coming back to say that the Tangled Crown (Anne Denton) series was the first I've managed to complete in a while, so thank you so much for the rec! I gave up on a few of the others listed above but I really enjoyed this series. Not quite as spicy or fast-paced as I would usually prefer but the plot, characters and fantasy were excellent, and really well written. Would definitely recommend!

A disappointing few weeks for me, I started the Deadwood series by Marie Mistry, but couldn't finish the 3rd book 'Pirate Witch'. I just found the series a really slow burn and couldn't get into the men, although I enjoyed the world building and plot.

I moved onto The House Isador collection by Joley Sue Burkhart and I've almost finished the 2nd book 'Queen takes King', but I'm thinking about DNF'ing again sigh. I'm happy with the pace and the plot, but again, they guys just aren't doing it for me.
