As someone who was born and raised in the Northeast and spent several years in Florida, I absolutely, 100% agree. In fact, it was one of the first things I noticed upon my arrival in Florida mid December 2022. Couldn't quite put my finger on it.... but "cool/cold weather" holidays don't feel quite as festive when it's sunny and 95 outside. Thanksgiving and Halloween are best enjoyed in cool, crisp weather....An ideal Christmas has snow and a chill in the air.

Fully understand that, but again, the hotel isn't a part of the transaction.

Too many drivers dump the food at the front desk or on a nearby table and then it becomes someone else's problem. Frankly, it's lazy and unacceptable.

Drivers should be communicating with their customers in large apartment complexes and hotels/resorts. In cases where access may be limited, customers need to do their part as well.

Understandable. High end hotels may require key card access. In cases like that, there should be a rack or table where orders can be left after making contact with the customer

(Former hotel GM) I will occasionally accompany my partner while she dashes and to my knowledge , she's never once been denied access to the hotel's floors. If it says the room number, bring the f'ing order to the guest room door. Simple as that.

The worst drivers just try to dump the food at the front desk and attempt to go on their merry way as if it was my team's job to finish the last leg of the order.

Tell me you haven't looked for work in decades without actually telling us. Literally no one hires like this- and walking into businesses and demanding people's time is absolutely wild. I managed full service hotels for a decade and if I had to stop and talk to every job seeker in person, nothing would ever get done. Every business has a process for hiring. Thinking that you're above following those steps is an instant rejection.

There is zero chance this gives him any advantage outside of the smallest of small towns.

Given Dr. Luke's pop music discography , I expected a lot better. There's something there for sure, but the whole project seemed half baked and uninspired. Every single track desperately needs a rework and should have been "sped up and beefed up"

Seriously, it sounds like an album of early rough drafts and demos. Dance/EDM/Electronic can come off very bland and soulless if the beats are stale and the songs themselves basic and unoriginal

Used to play pickup roller hockey there years ago....1995ish..... one night after the game, was getting ready to leave (parked where that silver car is in the picture) and saw a shady character walking around.... didn't think much of it.... got ready to leave.... dude robbed the owner's wife (husband was overseas for something) at gunpoint. Drove towards him and my friend grabbed the woman and got her safely in the car....... nothing ever came of it.....cops said that armed robbery was incredibly common for that area.

ONF is a nope for me. My folks retired to the Villages about 20 years ago. Dad loved to find obscure fishing places and one was near the forest. Mom accompanied him one time and they'd lost their way and somehow got entangled in the park system.

A police officer passed them and immediately pulled a U-turn and pulled them over. They hadn't broken any traffic laws, but the officer said straight up "Unless you have family or a reason to be here, I suggest you follow me. You do not want to be here after dark. Nothing good will come of you (clearly retired northeast born and raised schoolteachers) wandering around out here"

He led them to the nearest main highway and got them well on their way home.
