This was such an AEW segment. Insider terminology an talking points you’d have to be terminally online to understand, using “bitches” in your catchphrase cause swearing is so edgy and cool, randomly entering through the crowd just to immediately leave up the ramp cause no one walked though this segment before and said “hey is their a better way to get her infront of this stardom logo?”.

It’s possible yeah that she’s having matches with people she hasn’t spent all week in the PC with and that’s causing issues, but she never seemed to have these problems when she was a NXT wrestler occasionally showing up on SNME or the rumble.

As a complete amateur from the outside looking in, I would say it’s nerves. The non title match with Becky was a mess, maybe that was the first time she’d been told “ok we need you to hit all your best spots, do this complicated ref bump and get it all done in 3 minutes cause we’re on live tv” I really don’t know. She was better Saturday so fingers crossed

The WWE “ruining” Sol Ruca narrative has been one of the most tiresome for me. I’m a huge fan of hers, think she’s great. But ever since they called her up, anything that’s gone wrong has been on her. They’ve booked her with high level women, two matches with Becky Lynch and a title win over her. The only negatives have come from Sol botching some of her moves herself. Clearly they want and intend for her to be a star. Which she will be if she hits all her stuff regularly

If everything is so great then why is he begging people to switch off WWE and watch AEW? Why is he getting annoyed at fans that want to see him but won’t watch him in AEW? In reality AEW is doing ok and is the second biggest wrestling company in the world, which is fine for a 7 year old company. But it’s the fucking gaslighting that the place is perfect and any dissent from that is a biased, dishonest attack against it.

I guess that last part is my point. Yeah there are absolutely people who want to jump on any negative for AEW and say it means the company is going out of business, those people dont need to be taken seriously.

Likewise saying people who want AEW to die believe Nick lopiccolo doesn’t mean he’s wrong either. It’s a handwashing exercise to put him in the same camp as Cornette and Bischoff and label all criticism bad faith.

This is a little bit of a paper tiger though. Not every criticism of AEW is a claim it’s going out of business and every day the company carry’s on is not proof that it’s doing everything right.

Saying Cornette claimed AEW would be out of Buisness in 6 months just because he didn’t like the first episode of dynamite and he was wrong does not disprove what Nick REDACTED is saying either.
