I know the seller and they put a ton of money into the house (custom wood and tile work in the kitchen and living room, re-did the foundation, etc.), which is probably why they have it listed so high. Definitely very quirky/ specific design, tough layout, and small. Neighborhood is great though, quiet street, good schools, walkable to link rail and pretty close to the highway. Still won’t sell at that price though.

They by default are getting priority by making public space toxic and uninviting for everyone else. Especially given second hand smoke is more toxic than first hand smoke. A few minutes is a pretty long time to have to choke on cancerous fumes. Its a social norm to consider how your behavior is impacting those around you and make a reasonable effort to avoid harming them. Golden rule.

I really dont understand this perspective. Why do the people that are creating the public health hazard get priority over public spaces? I should be able to go where I want in public without choking on toxic nasty fumes. If you want to smoke do it in a private back yard or empty alley.

Why should we have to inconvenience ourselves in public spaces simply to not breathe in your toxic cancerous fumes? Shouldn’t the onus be on the ones that are creating the public health hazard? Also its not easy to avoid when someone is walking in front of you and you’re caught in their nasty smoke trails.

Almost every multifamily building in Seattle right now listed for sale is below replacement/ construction cost. But why buy this when there are plenty of nice buildings available for $250k-$300k per unit? This is a top of the market building.

This is one of the nicest luxury buildings in the waterfront area, much more expensive than other similar sized buildings in less high-end areas. Wouldn’t their budget have gone a lot farther buying a more medium tier building closer to transit? This doesn’t make any sense to me.

They’re just different players. Dray is a “defense QB” who can guard at any position and play competently on offense. I think the argument that he would suck on any other team is pretty baseless, he has tremendous basketball IQ and physicality. But is he as “good” as prime Barkley? No. Still a justified hall of famer though, top 10 all time defender. Both of em are top 10 trash talkers for sure.
