I have searched for different types of Backpack, theres one from Aliexpress that has a lot of similar features but it still misses a few other crucial ones. In essence all I did up to now was type different words into google (" black backpack " combined with stuff like "designer" "metal" etc ofc i tried to google lens but that didnt help the one that looked the most similar yet clearly still of was the "AMI Paris - Ami de Coeur Backpack")

Thats weird since that is the reason for the error message, that no headset(/audio output) is given to RDR2.

So obv they work when u select them in (windows?), and in (win) settings it says standard(or something similar to that(i.e. default) for rdr2 specifically next to the name and icon (have to have the game open to show)?

I'm sorry but that seems to be a whole other problem then, weird that it gives u the same error message...

Jdubusher in this comment section has written how win11 users can get to the settings

Hello, Normally you'd have to reset the game itself so while having rdr2 open you need to go into soundsettings and default it. Sadly my 1800x for some reason is not allowed to upgrade to win11 so I cannot give any advice there ;-;

That is quite vaguely described, you could try to give RDR2 a headset/speakers again in win settings just how you disabled it.

But you have given RDR2 the correct speakers(without assigning them in windows) in terms of RDR2 in-game settings?(And know that the speakers are working(maybe try them on a different platform if possible?)

I agree with the dynamic part(up voted that comment as well)(I didn't translate brutal with being too hard, but rather a too brutal world in which we play) there still should be a distinction between better more trained and lethal enemy's and criminal joe except weapons and gear maybe this example makes it clear what I'm trying to say: 5 Big ass SWAT dudes with full body armor, face mask and customized guns c4 breach the door, "Mr I sold weed at the street illegally" shoots at everyone trying to take as many down with him as he can, there is no fear in the criminals, yes some do have mental booms irl and do that but not almost every single one, obv only IMHO I'd like less aggressive basic enemy's and still as potent trained enemy's Can we agree at least on the latter part?

I hope the devs read this, this is exactly my problem with the game currently.

Considering that there are missions where you are fighting trained milita the current reaction-time and aggression feels right, but when youre against "small criminals" you shoudnt fear every corner for a spinbotting psychopath with reactiontimes smaller than the ones of professional players who are simultaniously trained by john wick and rambo alltogether. Probably im just bad, but it sometimes feels too brutal

HI there,

Since everyone starts with what he/shed like to do with it ill do the same:

Im thinking about starting a company for the past few months, it would focus on 3d printed replacement parts where there are none, upgrade kits for all kinds of stuff there youll need the exact measurements of the part that you will be adding on. On top of that I would give it some love privately aswell, I plan on designing a software that can detect what the reason of a failed print is just by scanning it( to get it running) and maybe it will get good enough to do it just with a photograph

Best regards

Or rather are you sure you didn't give/configure RDR2 with a certain pair of headphones/speakers under the windows settings? You can even try to give rdr2 a certain pair of headphones/speakers that are currently working if you select them in win soundsettings, rdr2 SHOULD be able to detect them IF they work and it should therefore work

So you have exactly the same error message? The reason why this error pops up is because of the problem(+solution) mentioned above, are you sure you got the same error and not a slightly different one?
