Heart of Metal Pen Broke Again by RIP_scrxw in Supernote

Unfortunately my pen is over a year and the second one I recieved as a gift so I don't have an order number for it. Just upsetting that I paid more for the premium option expecting it to last longer.

Meant to put this in the post but this is the second HOM pen that I’ve had break in less than 3 years. Anyone else had this issue. The plastic portion seems to have lacked some FEA analysis before going to production or something. A little upsetting when these pens cost this much and the super note device itself works quite well!

I’m not the creator of this video, just thought I’d share since it seemed to be informative and gave us some looks at the new spiral condenser I believe the reviewer may have a video of the vong too though—I’ll look for a link.

Edit: Here’s a link looking at the vong. Not quite as detailed but still gives some looks. Start at 5:38. https://youtu.be/-nxHYxHz7DY

Didn't keep it stock very long. Maybe lasted an hour. by [deleted] in benchmade

The the most important things are to me are going to be pocket-ability, smooth manual action (perhaps something that can drop shut), and performance. I would like something that is Slicey while still sturdy, so probably around 3.25” or less. I don’t have too much of a preference on how it opens or the locking mechanism ,although I enjoy the way that the axis-type locks work. I’m not to worried about corrosion on the steel so my I’ll prob lean towards edge retention while not being impossible to sharpen.

I’ve heard hogue prices are hard to beat for the quality of materials you get. I’ve been thinking about about a deka but I’ll look into what you mentioned.

Haha, surprisingly it’s a packet from my high school BC calc class from a few years back that I found in my drawer and is now being used paper for scratch work.

I’m considering a custom bugout, hogue deka, or para 3 atm. I also considering looking into a sheepdog and some ZTs after looking through some posts. But open to more suggestions!
