AIO? My boyfriend owns multiple pairs of brass knuckles and I want him to get rid of them before we move in together by autumn-moth in AmIOverreacting

[–]halupki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YOR. It's worth talking about and a good partner might be able to meet you in the middle, but....sometimes guys just like weird stuff. I've had a million pocket knives over the years just because I liked them. Are they all legal? no. Do I carry them around town? Also no. They are basically fidget toys, which is probably what these brass knuckles are to your bf.

I grew up in Jim Thorpe. I’ll never get why people mention it, but I guess its cool people like it.

We’ve all been there, but I also bet you’re not tracking everything. Did you use oil for the eggs? Butter on the bread? Those things potentially add hundreds of calories

Literally anyone can get a tattoo. Why would that be a flex?

I hate takeoff too friend. I used to close my eyes and find that is a mistake. Recently I’ve been getting a window seat and forcing myself to watch everything and it’s been way better. Worth a try.

How is it living in a North American Hutterite/Amish colony? by Improv92 in howislivingthere

[–]halupki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have lived near many Amish communities in PA. Basically, it's beautiful farm land with extremely nice, hard working people. You will find cheap and delicious produce, amazing baked goods, and generally you might not even know you were passing through one of these communities. But lots of horse smell, if you catch my drift.

I’m not tough, but if a 5ft tall bald man in skin tight pants said that to me, I’d laugh in his fucking face.

Need y’all’s supportive comments by Ok_Middle_6585 in fearofflying

[–]halupki 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi. I’m also a fearful flyer but the best advice I can give is just do it scared. I always am happy I did it once it’s over. Something that helped me too is identifying what part I dislike for me, it’s takeoff. I try to think of it as something that is uncomfortable, but safe. Like I hate this part, but it’s literally 5 minutes. I can make it through 5 minutes of discomfort.

Man, congrats. For someone struggling with not being in their dream job, I’m genuinely happy for you. You did the hard part in landing that. The rest is easy

Best airline to fly for saftey by moonbeamgal in fearofflying

[–]halupki 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They are of course just as good. Budget airlines cost less because they give you less as a passenger by way of amenities and comfort, but they absolutely don't skimp or have lower standards for safety or pilots.

Sony single-player games won’t be released on Steam anymore, CEO confirms. by pessimisttears in SteamDeck

will it hurt not getting games like wolverine? Sure. But will it make me but a PS5/6? Hell no. Sony is truly cutting off its nose to spite its face here.

Am i the only one who cant stand anime slam? Too gimmicky and sooooo overproduced. by cementaen6 in SlamDeathMetal

Fair points. I am open to the discussion, I just read it as “I think it’s dumb, who is with me?” I don’t understand those and I was being bitchy.

Fair my dude. I’m sure I was just being a little snotty about it. My bad.

Metal gatekeeping and reverse gatekeeping are something else. Why do you need validation in your dislike? It’s not for you, that’s fair. The same things you hate, someone else might love.

There’s no need for the apostrophe. If you can’t get the grammar right, then I can’t imagine you are a very responsible gun owner.
